1 week left for 2025!! ... Spectacular views ... Spacious Living ... Premier location ... 2 miles by boat to Clayton, New York.

The home features 7 private bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a large modern kitchen,
Three large living areas, a wood fireplace, a unique circular stairway,
and a secluded bunkhouse in the woods. Nearly 1500 sq. ft. of outside deck.

The property includes 10 private acres. So enjoy great hiking and exploring on the southwest end of Bluff Island, Clayton, NY. Listen to nature; lapping water, song birds in the trees, the whisper of the breeze thru the pines; total serenity is just steps out our back door. No loud neighbors, no traffic, no worries ... aaah yes ... that is peace!

Also, there aren't many homes where you can see both a sunrise and a sunset, but this one can. The home sits on a peninsula, 40 feet above the water, and is surrounded by water on three sides. Per our clients, neither pictures nor words can describe the spectacular views; 10 miles to the west, 2+ miles to the south and 7 miles to the east. There are only four properties on this 60 acre island and they are very spread out. Seclusion is yours!

The deep water dock area includes over 1000 square feet of deck space with 8 lounge chairs ideal for sunbathing. There is 120 lineal feet of docking. 80 lineal feet of the 120 is under cover which provides maximum protection of your boats. The dock area has multiple swimming venues and is great for snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, canoeing, wave running, tubing and has GREAT fishing from your own private dock. 120V electrical service available at the dock.

Oh ... and don't forget cliff jumping from the rock ledges in front of the home (see pictures) ... This has been a favorite of clients for three generations. The rocks are about 15 feet high (similar to a high-dive at a public pool) and the water depth is 12-15 feet which is deeper than most pools.

Customers must provide their own boat for access to the property. There certainly are no ferries to it or roads on the island. Just the natural beauty of the world-famous 1000 Islands.

I'm happy to share my feedback on my stay. Jim and Kristin were wonderful hosts. They did a great job of setting expectations and the expectations were not only met, they were exceeded. On arrival, they took time to walk us around the property and the cottage to explain things and to give us a chance to ask any questions. While we were on our tour, their two sons brought up all of our luggage and gear (there was a lot of it) from the boat dock to the cottage. Talk about going above and beyond! I don't remember their names but I want to say thanks to them once again. The cottage is amazing. The layout is fantastic and it was large enough for my group of 7 to get together or to spread out and find a quiet space. The location is equally amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the freighters come and go all week (note to future renters...get the Boat Watch app to get information on the ships like where they came from, destination, what they're carrying...etc). While we rented a great boat from Spicer Marina, we found that there is great fishing from the cottage's dock and from the shoreline around the property. We caught plenty of fish (and threw all of them back). I've stayed at a lot of properties throughout upstate New York and Ontario over 40 years of vacationing in those areas but I have no hesitation in saying that this was probably the best rental and the best rental experience of all of them. Thanks again Jim and Kristin. This was truly a memorable experience. See you next year!

My family has been vacationing on the Thousand Islands for 6 years now. We enjoy experiencing the islands from different homes. However we absolutely want to return to this location. Our vacations usually consist of 3-4 families coming together under one roof. Such a vacation can be challenging find a home with enough space for everyone without feeling cramped or without accommodating everyone to dine together. This Bluff islands home is the perfect place for a multi family gathering. There are several bedrooms suitable for both kids & for heads of households. There is ample space for small and large groups to come together. The dinning table could accommodate the entire family. The kitchen was well stocked and much more spacious and modern than the pictures lead to believe which allowed for a few cooks at the same time. The amenities of the property were fantastic. The views from all the rooms were breathtaking. I loved the tub overlooking the lake. The dock was the best we have ever used. All the furniture was high quality and modern with very comfortable mattresses. There were plenty of TVs, a decent WI-FI connection, great decks with lots of seating, and plenty of island to explore. The care, attention to detail and pride the owners take in their home is evident everywhere. We have never stayed at a home that was so clean & well organized. In addition, the owners go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. You will not regret staying here.

We absolutely love Bluff Island. We first went there as a family vacation in 2015 to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. We have had the opportunity to stay at Bluff Island multiple times (2016 and 2017) and have never been disappointed. We are already planning our trip for 2019. It is a place to relax and get away from it all. The house was well designed to capture every view of the St Lawrence River. We had a hard time choosing a bedroom because they were all equally beautiful. The house had every amentity we could ask for - ice machine, coffee makers, waffle makers, grill, etc. The home was thoughtfully decorated with items from the area. The home is spotlessly clean and well maintained and the owners commitment to the property shines through in every detail. The owners were super helpful in recommending sights to see and restaurants to visit. We especially enjoyed swimming in the River, relaxing on the dock, hiking and exploring our own island. Sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. The home is very secluded but very close to Clayton which is our favorite area of the 1000 Islands. There is so much to do in the 1000 Islands, there is truly something for everyone, history, fishing, relaxing. If you have the opportunity to book this house, do it! You will not be disappointed. Our family made once in a lifetime memories.

If you book a vacation on Bluff Island in this beautiful home, you will not be disappointed! My family and I booked two years in a row. The second year was because my family and the kids (nieces and nephews included!) begged to go back. The views and location are stunning! You can do everything from relaxing and doing nothing to cliff jumping off the bluff, swimming, fishing, boating, exploring and more! The St Lawrence and the Thousand Islands region is nothing short of spectacular and very unique. We watched the amazing sunsets every evening and the shooting stars at night. The owners are wonderful to work with. They take great pride in the property. The house is charming, clean and very spacious. I can't say enough about this home. The pictures do not do it justice. My sixteen year old nephew summed it up well at the beginning of one of our days on the property. He said, Ahhh, another day in paradise....
