This was such a perfect holiday spot for our family and visitors from NZ. The view is incredible and the house has enough space for everyone to relax and get into holiday mode. A highlight for us was walking along the beach one night into town to the carnival which the kids absolutely loved. Memories for a lifetime. Thanks very much to the hosts for sharing their magical spot with us. We will be back!

Perfect location right on the beach. Loved watching boats go past. Next door to the miniature railway. Enjoyed walks on the beach. Definitely would like to come back.

While in a great location for us, the house itself was extremely disappointing. We arrived to discover that there is a unit downstairs that is used by the owners. Therefore we did not have access to the shaded areas downstairs in the yard. They had numerous visitors coming with large cars coming in the yeard which was a concerns with our small kids. The family were also sitting outside smoking which affected our use of the balcony in the evening. The upstairs unit was ok. However many flyscreens were broken, despite being eaten alive by mosquitos, this is also a significant safety issue with small kids as it left an upstairs window with no barrier. There is only one fan for the 4 bedrooms which during the hot weather a fan for each room would be beneficial. The kitchen supplies are absolute bare minimum. There is no shade on the balcony at all, so only really able to use in the evening. I would normally overlook some of these small things, but our whole stay was tainted by the family staying below. This is an upstairs unit not a house!

Overall we had a nice stay at this property. The kids had fun and the beach was pretty much in front of the house. Josie was really nice and very accommodating with our needs. Once flatscreens are installed and cover of some sort on the balcony to have alittle shade from the heat it would be great. We will go back again . Thanks Josie and Paul

This accommodation is only meters away from the waters and a walking track which made the stay very relaxing. Great for morning and evening walks and to watch sunset. The house has a spacious lounge and dining areas and a long verandah with a view of the ocean. The beds are comfortable and the furniture are in good condition. Overall a good place to stay to unwind and relax. However, there were a few disappointments which the owners can easily address: 1. Kitchen is poorly equipped e.g. no dishwashing liquid provided. 2. No basic toiletries e.g. hand-soap or handwash. 3. Insufficient toilet paper which we had to request. 4. Some of the windows looked like they haven’t been cleaned for a while. Our biggest disappointment was when we reported the basin in the bathroom was partially blocked making the water flow very slowly to the extent that it practically became unusable, there was no response from the owner. We stayed 3 nights -so we had to suffer this inconvenience during the entire stay, which was a particular problem in the mornings. Some general comments about the location and its surrounds which others may find helpful: The pristine St . Leonard’s beach is only a 15 min drive and St Leonard’s hotel/pub has a good lunch menu and friendly staff. A few cafes/restaurants on Newcombe street only 6 min drive, where you can get great coffee and also good choice of lunch or dinner. St. Leonard’s salt lagoon is worth a visit, if you don’t mind the smell at the approach. We would recommend this accommodation if the owners take some care to address the items we mentioned above.

Shower drain was blocked, fly screens were ripped and we couldn't open the windows. Place was full of dust and spider Webb's and spiders were in the room. No bins in the bathrooms and no cleaning products were in the kitchen.

This stay was presented clean and tidy, it gives a nice boutique hotel feeling but with enough space and utilities for decent sized groups. Right on the the beach with beautiful views and a 25 minute walk into town along a nice beach trail. This property was a great fit for my group of friends and I to celebrate NYE 2021. The host always had great communication, we spoke many times, in person and over the phone, excellent service and super friendly. Would stay here again!
