Pond View Retreat – 4-BR Close to Narragansett Beaches and Newport – Off Rt 1A

House was very comfortable and well equipped. Not being familiar with the area, I was pleasantly surprised with the location and how close it was to Newport, Jamestown, and some beautiful State Beaches that weren’t crazy crowded even on Labor Day weekend. We loved having meals/drinks on the great deck.

We found old very moldy coffee in maker. No screens on some windows. A/C in two bedrms were insufficient. Basement bedroom was too musty to utilize. Used washer once, clothes smelled after washed. Living rm furniture needs updating. Location was great, beach was great, nice neighbors.

We had a great week in Narragansett! The house is as pictured online. Spacious rooms and a peaceful setting next to the pond. We would get serenaded to sleep every night by the bullfrogs- it was the best! The location is very central and the access to the kayaks is a huge plus. We paddled down the lake/river one day and had a wonderful time. We tried a couple beaches and our favorite was East Matunuck which was only about 15 min away. A few things that we didn’t care for was the furniture is uncomfortable in the living room. Some screens were missing/broken in a couple windows & the a/c units didn’t work very well and smelled a little musty. The weather was beautiful though so we just opened some windows and it was comfortable. The downstairs bedroom is more like a basement but the upstairs ones were very nice.

Check in was easy. Perfect space for our family and convenient location.

What a lovely cottage! The setting is beautiful, plenty of space in all the rooms, great kitchen and restful deck overlooking the pond. We enjoyed the breezes, wildlife and peace of the cottage. Thoroughly wonderful week there.

Nice house! Plenty of room with the four bedrooms. Would have helped if house owners provided sheets and towels! Nice view off the deck and good central location.

The house was in a great location, we especially enjoyed the lake and kayaks that were available. The furniture is older in the house butbwas to be expected from the reviews and the pictures, except the kitchen was updated and very nice. . The house was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. It was a great vacation spot for our family vacation and enjoyed by everyone!

This home is very conveniently located but feels very private thanks to the location on a pond. The views out the back windows are gorgeous! There is plenty of space for a family vacation and we enjoyed the spacious kitchen-dining room lay-out.

Property was nice. It was very comfortable. Had to cleaup water on the kitchen counter and floor upon arrival because the ice maker leaked. Basement bedroom had an ant problem. I had to kill many each time i went downstairs.

The family went on a family getaway to Rhode Island We stayed at Deb and Chris’s rental house The house was beautiful and plenty big enough for the 6 of us adults and a toddler Its location was perfect for many of the local restaurants, attractions and near the water. The house had everything we needed. Plenty of room for us to all spread out. Lovely neighborhood and easy access to stores, restaurants and beaches. We all had a wonderful time!

Overall, the property is very nice. The only complaint we have is the furniture. The living room sofas are the absolute worst and the outdoor deck furniture is not as pictured, but rather just big wood chairs. Cushions for outdoors were provided so no biggie there. It’s an older home, but maintained nicely. Kitchen is great. Perhaps a deep clean would be in order, just because of age. We really did enjoy our stay and would definitely book again!

The house was perfect for our mature family. We had space when needed but was also able to enjoy the open kitchen together for meals together. Would definitely come back. The neighborhood was gorgeous.

We had a great stay location was fabulous as we could enjoy the pond views from deck, salt water lake right up the road and beautiful beaches within 10-20 min of the house. We visited Newport and did a fishing charter lots of activities in the area for all ages in our group. We’d love to come back again it was a very relaxing environment, the house had good space and location is great.

Nice neighborhood, friendly area. Beds as described kitchen nice and all dishes and utensils we needed were available. My only complaint would be living room furniture

Lots of room. Close to everything there is to do in the area.
