PLEASANT GITE WITH PRIVATE POOL

We stayed at the Gite in July 2025 and when we arrived we were greeted by the hosts who went through everything with us. The accommodation was immaculately clean and has all the necessary equipment that you will need for your stay (I missed the no bed sheets and towels so make sure you take these or you will end up in the supermarket as we did) The pool (which was cleaned and topped up regularly) was amazing and was very welcome after a day at the river or exploring the area. There is a supermarket that has everything you need in Cenac St Julian or theres a bigger shop in nearby Sarlat which is about 20 minutes away. Overall the holiday was lovely and we couldn't have asked for better accommodation or hosts. This is not a critism more of an awareness if you have children/teenagers who might want to use the internet. As you'd expect in rural France the connection wasn't great so you might want to organise something on your mobiles before you arrive for extra data etc. As I said this isn't a critism as you don't go on holiday to use the internet, more of a polite observation. Would highly recommend and would not hesitate to stay again.

We had a wonderful relaxing time in the property. It’s very secluded, quiet, spotlessly clean, it was perfect for us. The pool is cold but lovely. A perfect place to relax and unwind. We will Definitely be returning.

Lovely gîte in a very quiet location. The children loved playing in the pool and watching the cows in the field. The property was very clean and well equipped. Remember to bring sheets and towels. The owners were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

The cottage was well equipped and spacious. The pool was lovely and kept my 3 teenage children occupied for most of the two weeks. The location is beautiful and there are lots of places to visit. Domme and Sarlat are both lovely. Did some walking around the area which was stunning. Lots of hills. Only slight criticism would be the WiFi which was weak at times.

We spent 2 pleasant weeks in this comfortable, well-maintained cottage with lovely deck and pool. Christine and Olivier were very kind. We were close to many of the interesting villages of the Dordogne. We enjoyed the countryside and the cattle grazing beyond the pool. The only negative was that the internet was a little weak at times.

Clean, tidy, well equipped. Wasn't expecting the bed to be as comfortable as it was; we slept so well. Such a quiet retreat, time to recharge and relax. Great cycling around the area through the walnut trees (we brought our bikes with us). Olivier and Christine were great hosts. Would definitely recommend as a quiet retreat at the start or the end of the season, and incredible value for money. Cannot fault it
