Brackettville, Texas
Pinto Paradise is a smoke free and pet free house. It is like staying at grandma’s house. It is a quaint 3 bedroom (full beds), 1 bathroom house decorated to remind you of grandma’s and a simpler time. Our entrance gate is five miles from Brackettville, Texas. It sits on 277 acres of ranch land and half a mile of Pinto Creek to enjoy. Our property has an abundance of birds, cattle, axis, black buck, turkey, and whitetail. There are two pecan orchards and we are on the monarch butterfly trail. You can bike, hike, read, puzzle, play games, have bon-fires, bird watch, animal watch, or just sit on the swing to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Fort Clark has a pool in town or you can opt to swim in our creek (both are at your own risk as there are no lifeguards). Pinto Paradise is the perfect escape to a simpler time.
With a sudden need for a place to stay, in the Brackettville area, we never imagined this little farm house would be so perfect for our needs. From the host's initial warm welcome, an unbelievable star watching and meteor gazing experience and time for a life-giving morning walk down to the beautiful Pinto Creek, this stay was much more than we expected. The house was immaculate, the beds comfortable and the setting was quiet, serene and wonderful. Just what we needed, and more. We hope to stay here, again, soon. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!
My family and I came to stay here for a few days to get away from the city and to make memories before school started again. We had the best time just playing games and exploring around the property. Loved that the cows were so close. Loved waking up to the birds chirping and the hummingbirds playing. The house was bigger than I expected and we didn’t need for anything. The house is fully stocked minus food of course. We have zero complaints about this place. A super plus is that they have a washer/dryer! Would def recommend if you’re looking to unplug and unwind from the city life. The hosts were so easy to contact and so friendly.
Rhonda is a wonderful hostess. She is knowledgeable about the area and provided a memorable experience for us as well as our 13 year old grandson. The ranch house is well furnitured and comfortable with many amenities. We had a first rate time starglazing, bird watching and exploring the local area.
My husband and I took a quick spontaneous trip for our anniversary to South Texas. The property was beautiful and the owners amazing! Highly recommend taking a break from the city and enjoying this property!
What a great place, my family had a blast! Enjoyed the time with the kids doing all sorts of activities: hiking, watching wildlife, seeing cattle, volleyball, kite flying, playing with water guns, making s’mores... the list goes on. When the kids wore out and went to bed it was an amazing place to sit outside by the fire or swing and just relax and unwind gazing at the stars! You can only get this experience out in the country, a place the whole family can enjoy, can’t wait to come again!
I had not realized how remote this condo would be, but we loved it! Google maps was not accurate, but we called the owner and found it quickly. Plenty of space indoors for 3 kids and 2 adults with even more outdoors play space. We had to get use to the well water smell, but all other accommodations were very well met. Cute country decor and cable TV were a plus. Fantastic place to relax with the family. Stars at night on the swinging benches outdoors were one of my favorites. Kids loved seeing the cows and deer around. I would recommend and would return if we were in the area again.
