Beautiful secluded location. Large house with good size rooms. Kitchen fully stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed our stay and the area of Wellsboro.

This was our third time staying because we love this place so much. House has everything we need with plenty of room, great views and quiet location. Hiked on the trail right out the back door and enjoyed the view of pine creek. Saw deer, an eagle and an osprey. Secluded but not far from great breakfast spot, good bars and shopping. Can’t wait to be back again!

Great place! The hot water was a little iffy but by no means a deal breaker. We had a great time.

The house was very clean and comfortable. We had deer in the yard several times and watched eagles along the creek. There is a snowmobile trail between the house and the creek which we walked everyday and saw deer and a fox. It's very close to the Grand Canyon and the two state parks on either side. Wellsboro is also very close and we enjoyed a good meal at the Wellsboro House. Very good communication with Shawn.

Shawn’s place is exactly as advertised and it’s pretty awesome there. It was secluded, peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. We were able to see the Milky Way and its in close proximity to the West rim trail, and numerous other trails.

Great lodge, great area, great host. The lodge has everything you need for a perfect vacation. The gas grill, full kitchen, comfy beds, board games, fire pit, deck all made it a amazing stay. Just outside, you could hang by the creek or fire pit (at night we caught a glimpse of the Milky Way), but further out (but not that far) you had the Pine Creek Gorge with loads of hiking trails, and the quiet and beautiful town of Wellsboro with shops and restaurants. Just those two activities alone took up the entire week and there was more to do! And Shawn is a good host; responsive and helpful. Any questions we had, he answered immediately. We highly recommend staying here.

Awesome location - near the creek and a swimming hole. We watched eagles fly to and from their nest just across the creek. The house has pretty much everything one could think of or need. This wasn’t so much a problem; I just want to clarify for future guests. There are window units and ceiling fans, but there is no central air. The first half of our week was atypically hot (90s) and humid. The bedrooms were cool, and the fans take the edge off in the common spaces. Once the extreme heat broke, everything was fine.

This was our 4th time staying at Shawn’s cabin and we had another great trip. Shawn is a great host. He’s always available to answer any questions before and during our stays. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Beds are very comfortable. Great fishing and swimming spot accessible from the cabin. We will definitely be back next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was very roomy, fully stocked, fit the description completely. Beautiful fire pit and the back deck was so peaceful. We would not hesitate to go back again!

Second time staying at Pine Creek Lodge at it was excellent as usual. Love this place.

This was our second stay at the cabin since we loved it so much the first time. Love the peace and quiet. Cabin is spacious with great views all around. Plenty of room for six adults with nice big beds in every room. Enjoyed the fire pit at night and even got to see some northern lights! Nice and secluded but great breakfast spot and bar nearby. Would definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Gaines. The house was big which was nice. The water pressure was a little low but it's on a well. Lots of wildlife and close hiking in the GC. All in all a great trip!

Beautiful cabin and setting in the woods and along Pine Ceek. Minutes from PA Grand Canyon; fishing in Pine Creek; short drive to quaint Wellsboro. Overall wonderful experience for the whole family …did not want to leave !

We had a lovely, relaxing long weekend away. The cabin was very spacious, clean, and secluded, just as described. We would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! The cabin was spacious and worked well for our family with young adult children and their spouses. The location is beautiful and close to the rail trail for biking and Pine Creek access for kayaking. We would stay here again!

We celebrated my moms 74th birthday & everyone had a great time. Even though it rained the entire weekend we still managed to hike a little bit at the grand canyon scenic overlook. Also the Log Cabin Inn is minutes away & was very good. The cabin is clean & comfortable. I'd struggle to find anything negative to say about it. We have stayed at multiple mountain cabins the last several years & this one is easily at the top of the list as an easy 5 star across the board rating. We had an amazing time. The home was clean. The beds were comfy. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The creek behind the home has a great swimming hole which was wonderful because it was very hot when we stayed. The fishing in the creek was also wonderful! Shawn was incredibly helpful and always responded quickly. The property was secluded and quiet. The back deck is perfect for a peaceful cup of coffee in the morning. Thank you so much Shawn!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The cabin was beautiful and extremely well maintained. The location was absolutely awesome. The communication with the owner was flawless. Just a terrific place to stay. Would give it a 10 out of 10 in all aspects. Can’t wait to visit again.
