'Pilot House', Ocean Views, Ez Access to Beach, Pool & Hot Tub

After 20 years of vacationing in Nags Head, we can honestly say the Pilot House is the nicest home we've ever stayed in. The cleanliness was absolutely unmatched—it was, by far, the cleanest vacation rental we've ever experienced.The house was incredibly well stocked with everything we needed and more. It was obvious the owners put a lot of thought into making sure their guests feel comfortable and at home.The owner was exceptional—kind, responsive, and genuinely cared that we had a wonderful stay. That level of hospitality is hard to find and made our vacation even more enjoyable.We truly couldn't have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend the Pilot House to anyone looking for a spotless, well-equipped home in Nags Head. We can't wait to stay here again!

In all the years we’ve been renting in the OBX, this is THE BEST beach house we’ve stayed in! Great location near grocery store, great restaurants, ice cream! Nice, family friendly, walkable neighborhood! Wonderful amenities (pool, hot tubs, decks with good seating and nice views, 1.5 blocks to the beach). Fully stocked house - 2 fridges, coffee maker, Kuerig, blender, all the kitchen stuff). Linens, bath towels included! 8 beach chairs, umbrellas, beach cart! We were coming from Florida with very little room in the car, and the house had EVERYTHING we needed. All we had to bring was towels for the beach and sunscreen! And the host is very nice and responsive. The Pilot House is a GREAT find! Especially for folks that want to/need to travel light. Highly recommend!

Wonderful home! All enjoyed the pool, hot tub and decks! Short, easy walk to the beach and restaurants. Great host and home well stocked with everything needed for a beach vacation.

My family and I had the best vacation in Nags Head at the Pilot House! The house is furnished well, we were very comfortable and love the location! Would definitely rent again and recommend for your next OBX trip!

Clean, well maintained house. Beds were all very comfortable. Excellent view from top balcony, we also loved the separate areas for our family. We will definitely stay again , it felt like home.

Absolutely amazing! This was my first trip to OBX in many years and was overwhelmed when looking for places to stay. The Pilot House turned out to be perfect! Than was a wonderful host, he contacted me prior to our trip to go over everything possible. He checked in during our week's stay and even provided lists of fun things to do and places to eat. The house is in a prime location, with views of the ocean. The setup inside is great, plenty of space for our family of 7. A huge bonus is that he provided bed sheets, bath towels, and all kitchen items. He also included a wagon, beach chairs, umbrellas, toys for us to use on the beach. It was incredibly helpful to not have to pack the car and bring all of these things with us. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and basketball net. There were so many things within walking distance too. Ice cream, shopping, mini golf, playground, and a coffee shop. Overall, this was a perfect week's vacation, and we were spoiled by all the things The Pilot House offered. I will definitely return!

Wonderful family trip! The house is well located and was clean, well stocked, and comfortably fit our group of 10. We also appreciated both the pool and hot tub as well as the beach chairs/umbrellas/toys too!

We stayed at Pilot House with extended family, and everyone had a wonderful time! The house is beautiful and full of light- even better than in the photos. Location is amazing- easy walk to the beach, restaurants and an ice cream shop. Everything else we needed was a quick drive. The owner was very friendly and accessible, and addressed all of our questions quickly. The house had everything we needed for a week with teens and adults and is very well equipped for families with younger children too!

House was beautiful. It was well kept and very clean. I would recommend this house to anyone.
