Small Cottage built in the 1950’s on Pickerel Lake. From the uneven steps to the sweeping lake views you will find yourself enchanted. There are three flights of stairs from the parking area down to the house. The Inside of this cozy cottage is simply furnished. As you enter, you are greeted by a three season room with a sweeping view of the lake, a small gas wall heater and a recliner for relaxing on those chilly days. From here you enter the main house which contains a small kitchen with a small island. As you pass through the kitchen to the living room there is a couch, coffee table and more views of the lake. The TV is smart tv with Netflix, and Amazon Prime for your viewing pleasure. There is one large bedroom with a queen size bed, a rack for your suitcase and hangers on the back of the door for your use and a TV cabinet with a TV with the same viewing. This is our third year staying here and we're looking forward to the fourth year! We love the views of the ever-changing lake, sunrises, and sunsets. A game of cribbage on the lakeside deck is a great way to start the day. Sometimes we just sit and watch the fish jump. The cottage is cozy and very clean and the host is responsive and helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay. The property is on a lake with a great view. It was nice and quite, no hustle or bustle of the city. The only thing I wish I had known about was the cat hair. I'm a little allergic, the cat was not there, just the hair. I would recommend this place. The owner is very sweet and communicated really well.
We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The back deck was a great place to spend time and relax.
A lovely and charming home, comfy bed, well stocked with kitchen and grilling utensils. It had everything we wanted and needed! The lake was beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed and appreciated the use of the kayaks; so convenient! Thanks to Devra for a wonderful stay. P.S. Absolutely loved all the stairs (not kidding) and the pretty flowers and butterflies along the the way down to the house. It was like walking into a wonderland.
This is becoming a yearly break for us. We live in the desert... and there's nothing like spending a few days in this beautiful cottage. There are so many places to sit, relax, and enjoy the view - and listen to the birds.
We enjoyed our nice getaway here..it was quiet, right on the lake, beautiful views, warm water and kayak and SUP available was great..grateful Devra was willing to share her home:-)
Easy to rent had no issues.
The house was clean very quiet. Loved the tiny fish. Yard was full of beautiful plants. Enjoyed the lake and kayaks. Would stay there again.
beautiful setting, nice cozy house with everything we needed for our stay
It's fine. One bath towel per week is not enough in warm humid weather nor is one dish towel. There was limited space to place clothes. I had to make some room by moving stuff around. That's what happens when there are no closets though so I understand. The outside of the house needed cleaning. I would say it needs to be only for people who can climb up and down 36 stairs safely. That's important. For me, I enjoy the extra exercise I showed my family this cottage and they all loved it and want to stay there if it works out in the future. I must be pretty picky, I guess. The bed was comfortable and I loved being able to open most of the windows. Didn't try any of the boats. I think its time to replace the fluorescent kitchen light. It blinks when first turned on. That's all that didn't work perfect and I liked that! Suggest labelling which bin is for recycle and which is for plain garbage. I was going to do it myself but didn't. yes, I would probably stay here again.
