Picturesque dog-friendly log cabin with stunning views and wood stove

House was clean and perfect view was out standing great place to stay

The place was very nice but the heat broke on the first night. Had to scramble to find another place to stay.

Unfortunately, I have to give a 3-star rating due to the issue we had with the boiler. We came back one evening and the boiler was malfunctioning. Because it was late, I did not contact the owner but instead the 24-hour support at Vacasa. They were not helpful and after 3 hours on and off the phone with them, I figured out my own solution and went to bed at midnight. When I contacted the owner the next day, she was very responsive and very helpful getting to a workable solution. Unfortunate that she has to use Vacasa to manage the rental.Otherwise, the cabin was great. In a quiet neighborhood and outside of the lights of the town. The guidebook from the owner had great recommendations for hikes and places to eat.

The house was amazing!!! The views were breathtaking!!! I would definitely recommend staying here.

Booked this cabin for a girl's trip with 3 adults and 1 child. Everything was great! I want to stress the importance of bear safety becuase we had a black bear pay us a visit during our stay. They have a binder with safety information in the cabin. Another thing to note is that the bunk bed top bunk has a very low clearance. Was okay for my 7 year old but I couldn't imagine a teen or adult being able to sleep comfortably up there. We did not need heat while there. There is one large ceiling fan for the living room, kitchen, dining, and loft, but no fans in the bedrooms. Most windows are able to be opened which was really nice to help control the temperature. I can't think of anything else this cabin could need - there's a very well-stocked spice cabinet! We had a great time exploring Alaska, and this cabin was the perfect landing pad for spending time together and resting between adventures. Our visit was during 4th of July weekend, we were able to see and hear a few fireworks going off toward the main road but nothing super close to the property. There's a Walmart and plenty of dining options nearby in Eagle River, and Anchorage is only about 45 min away and there's lots of options there too! We also went to the Girdwood Forest Fair, which was about an hour and a half drive away. Really couldn't ask for a better location, we made memories here that will last a lifetime. The cabin is very homey and cozy and really was such a special part of our trip!

You need to advertise your view more- stunning!

Our family of 5 was very comfortable. House did not disappoint. Property manager very responsive. Unbelievable views. Abundant wildlife Very private and serene. Great location for adventures to Denali; Palmer; Wasilla; Whittier and Seward. Highly recommend Eagle River Nature Center just a few miles down the road.

Eagle River is fabulous the views are amazing! This house was perfect location. If you’re going to be in that area stay here not Anchorage itself! You’ll be in awe of the views!

Our family stayed here three nights and we loved the cabin. It was clean, spacious, and so quiet. We saw a grizzly bear one evening just up the road and a moose near the river one morning. We would definitely recommend this cabin while in Anchorage!

We loved just about everything about this picturesque home. Well equipt kitchen with spices, a wok and rice cooker/insta pot! So close to great hikes at the Nature Center. Not too far from town; loved the quiet and beautiful views. The host had several brochures and magazines to help us plan our days. The carpet definitely needs replacing, but I understand why they wouldn't since they allow pets. We'll be back! has

Beautiful place to stay while visiting Anchorage! My two college kids and I stayed for the week of Thanksgiving. I baked a turkey! Instacart delivers too! Great internet and everything was very comfy and cozy. Owner was very sweet and called to check on us after a freezing weather front came through. My kids and I didn’t want to leave and look forward to visiting again

House is super! Beds are very comfortable! Kitchen is nicely stocked with cooking equipment and daily needed items. Views are amazing and it’s very peaceful at the house. We stayed for 11 days… 2 of the days we never even left because it was that comfortable and peaceful. Our Vacasa contact person was attentive and easy to communicate with! Highly recommend this vacation rental!
