Stayed Oct 26, 2023Peverel House has been lovingly restored to provide a beautiful, comfortable and relaxing home from home. The interior styling, colours and little touches such as the scented diffusers, sleep-enhancing pillow spray, sleep masks and tote bag made you feel very welcome and very special. Our four-legged friend was also made to feel welcome with bowls, lead and doggy blankets to use. The boot room was fab for shoes, coats and cleaning the dog and I'm a bit jealous that I haven't got one of my own! The kitchen was really well equipped and we were given some bread, butter, milk and orange juice (in a glass bottle) for our arrival. Also loved the coffee station. All bedrooms and bathrooms were really comfortable and cozy. The location has everything you need in walking distance. There is a Co-Op, bakers, Elliott's Fish & Chips, a few pubs - we visited The Merchant's Yard, Sal's Italian Restaurant, High Nelly's Cafe and there's a great second-hand bookshop. There's loads to do further afield too with some beautiful walks and we visited Chatsworth House on our way home. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back, hopefully for longer.
