Pet Paradise with Spacious Private Yard

I really appreciated that this property was pet-friendly and allowed me to bring my dogs. Overall, the property itself was clean and nice; however, there were several issues that raised concerns. There was a large hole in the wall near the back door, the front door appeared to have been kicked in at some point and only partially repaired, there was a spoon left in the sink, and I also found a T-shirt under the bed.I had originally booked a three-night stay and stayed the first night because I had just completed a long drive and was exhausted. That evening, I notified the host of the issues and sent photos because I wanted to document the existing damage and conditions to avoid any confusion regarding my deposit.The following day, after going to work (I was traveling for work), I received a response from the host that gave the impression they were unaware of the hole in the wall and damage to the front door, which made me uncomfortable. I was also told these conditions were considered “normal wear and tear,” which was concerning to me given the nature of the damage.When I returned to pick up my dogs, I ultimately decided I did not feel comfortable or safe staying for the remainder of my reservation. The host refunded the unused nights but did charge me for the first night and the cleaning fee.Overall, I liked the pet-friendly aspect of the property, but my experience was impacted by the condition of the home and how the concerns were addressed.

This review is tricky to write. The people I communicated with, a corporate team and NOT the property owner, were very quick to respond and very polite and very helpful. My interactions with them were very pleasant. Check in, and check out, was likewise very simple and very positive. However, the property itself is in much worse condition than the very old pictures would lead you to believe. The vent covers were all rusted and in some cases broken. The paint inside is cracked and peeling, most clearly seen in the bathroom around the door frame. The tile job in the shower floor is subpar, at best, as well. There is a huge hole in the wall next to the washing machine. Some doors do not open fully because the floor in the house is so badly sloped and uneven. I don't know if that is due to foundation issues or just a bad remodeling job. The ceiling also has bad patch jobs and pain peeling. The laundry area shows this most egregiously. I have some significant doubts about how often cleaning occurs, as well. We spilled a bit of water in the kitchen at one point and when we wiped it up with paper towels they were black with dirt. The couch in the living room is physically broken, as well as the bench by the dining room table. I cannot say I would rent this particular property again. The price is, unfortunately, too high for the condition of the property.

Really enjoyed the big back yard for my dog to have space to run around. Super easy to check in and had a nice stay.
