Stayed Dec 31, 1969This home was clean, spacious, and well stocked for our family of 6. What a short walk to the beach! We loved all the wildlife wandering the neighborhood (elk, deer, rabbits). It was also great to have the option to ride bikes or use kayaks, provided with the home. I would come here again and again!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969If you desire peace and quiet, a beautiful setting, and spacious accommodations, we highly recommend staying here. We encountered deer, hummingbirds, geese, gulls, and even a bald eagle or two. The neighborhood is quiet and walkable, the wide, beautiful beach; just across the street. The home is well equipped for cooking, there are plenty of linens, and space to relax; both inside and out. The area is filled with activities; museums, hiking, historical forts and lighthouses, and beaches. They are a short drive away, no more than an hour or so; we did a lot of day trips to the south end of the peninsula and the Astoria, OR area. There is plenty to do close to home; kayaking, biking, a walk of the beach, Leadbetter State Park, and Oysterville. Being from Florida, we are used to sunny days; at times it was foggy, yet usually cleared up by 11. That being said, the weather never kept us from doing anything outside. We enjoyed the cooler breezes and dry days. Toby, our host, greeted us upon check in to show us around and explain the home’s details. He was always available to answer any questions or concerns. We had access to Julie’s contact information as well. We highly recommend this long term rental for a peaceful, nature filled, beachside home.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A perfectly lovely home, bright, clean, and open sitting on the lake and just across the street to the beach. Very peaceful and inviting. All the amenities you would ever think to need and yet uncluttered. The neighborhood is very friendly. People wave hello as they walk by. So much wildlife, bunnies, deer, and different birds migrating through to hatch new families, a little garter snake, a coyote, and we even saw an Eagle swoop down into the lake to catch a fish before flying off. We found it very relaxing, although there were plenty of activities to do if we wanted. This was truly a perfect get-away and the hosts were just lovely.
