The lake view is absolutely amazing but the house does leave some to be desired. The outdoor furnishings are starting to fall apart and need new cusions. The porch is great to sit and have coffee or cocktails on but no table for eating.Inside the property the main living area is nice and open. The kitchen table only has mismatched chairs for 4. The kitchen has a hodge podge of pots and pans, misc dishes, terrible quality silverware and truthfully not enough for 10, which is what the property sleeps. Fridge filter light was on for replacement and many of the cabinets and drawers were quite filthy when opened. Coffee pot was filthy when we got there and needed cleaned. The rooms are ample sized for the property, and it does sleep 10. Beds are clean and relatively comfortable. There are no night stands in the master on either side. Drawers in the bedrooms need cleaned, dusty, had some garbage in them, etc.The main bathroom is nice sized but the shower does not work well, trickles water and doesnt stay temperate. There was 8 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 6 wash cloths and 2 kitchen towels, which were not great quality. For a property stating it sleeps 10, there should be at least 10 bath towels and wash cloths. Ultimately the property is in a great location with wonderful views. The downstairs is under construction and its likely the living area was flipped quickly. Its decent and worked fine for the 5 days we were there, just needs some cleaning and attention.

We have communicated our issues/concerns with the owner and they say that they will work toward making them better. Therefore, choosing not to talk details. Overall, our 3 night stay would have been better if the house didn't feel like it had been closed up for awhile. This affected the comfort and convenience we have experiences at other VRBO's.

We were 7 senior adults ranging in age from 62-90. We greatly enjoyed the view from the deck as we chatted and reminisced about growing up in the Asheboro area.

The house was able to accommodate 8 of us comfortably and I was also able to bring our dog on vacation. The location was quiet and the dock was great. I had a few questions and was able to contact the host and he always responded back quickly. I would definitely recommend staying here and will book again if back in the area.

The Bad: We noticed very early that the kitchen was lacking in good cookware. There was one small skillet that was (in my opinion) too small for a house that sleeps so many. The one baking sheet was crusty and should be thrown out. We bought our own cookware at Wal-Mart to use. One of the queen beds was very loud and creaky. Upon further inspection, we noticed that the wood frame was broken. I emailed our customer contact with Evolve, but got no response. Later that afternoon, we called the customer contact and found that Evolve had given us an incorrect email address for the contact, so the email was never received. He was excellent to work with and bought a new bed frame and mattress and had the old bed replaced before end of day. We also brought to the contact's attention low water pressure in the house. Maintenance workers came the next day to address the problem. We were, however, without water at the house for a day, which was inconvenient. The bunkbeds are also very loud and squeaky. The gas grill is falling apart. The Good: The house was clean and smelled fresh. It is decorated nicely. Plenty of deck room to spread out and enjoy the views. Fishing and swimming off the dock is fun. Ducks in the lake will eat out of your hand. Quiet neighborhood. Shopping and good restaurants are nearby. Boat, jetski, and other rentals can be found on the lake nearby. Some of our most relaxing moments were sitting on the dock in the late evenings watching the sun go down.
