The house is cozy and clean. The bedding is new and the towels are great quality! Basics are all there for a good home base. We were there to go to Saratoga and Albany.
Very clean and comfortable house with fenced yard. Would definitely stay here again.
The owners were responsive to my tv issue. The home was as expected and comfortable. Be careful pulling into the driveway if you have a low profile car, there are railroad ties lining the one side.
Nicely decorated and clean. Quiet neighborhood close to shopping and eateries
Fenced in yard(s). One has broken spindles and spaces where the fence does not connect. The other fenced area was installed with large gaps at the bottom. Dogs can get right out. Do not leave your pets there as it is a very busy road. Kitchen was very old, broken down and nothing to speak of for dishes etc. Tile on floor is disguising. We had lights in the kitchen and outside blinking. Not sure if there is an electrical problem or only lights need changing. Smell coming from the lower level. By the way there is a gap in the railing going to basement to kids and dogs can fall through. The did state there was not railing on the outside of the upper stairs. Sleeping for 4 to 6 people without enough places for the people to sit in the living room. So disappointed we left after looking it over for 1/2 hour and asked for 1 night refund and wasn't given that. They actually texted me on Sunday (check out day) to see how our stay was. We didn't stay. The comment I got was Good luck with finding more Ab&b mansions. Never will book anything that Evolve handles for VRBO.
Visiting from TN and had to unexpectedly extend our stay due to a snowstorm. Host was very accommodating with the change. Driveway and walkway were shoveled as soon as it was reasonable to do so. Nice to have a homey spot to extend our stay and to be able to continue our visit with family in the area.
Was a great place to stay with my family was even able to bring our fur baby. Owner was very responsive when needed even on the holiday.
Centrally located to see our family nearby.
Our host was fabulous. The property was warm, welcoming and comfortable. Beds very comfortable. The deck was a fabulous place to hang out and have meals. Quiet neighborhood near retail and restaurants. Really enjoyed our stay.
The only thing that had been cleaned in the house were the bathroom fixtures and the linens. The floors were disgusting, nothing had been vacuumed / dusted in ages, and the house smelled like cats (there appeared to be one living under the back porch). Feet/socks were black on the bottom after just a couple minutes indoors and we left fruit out on the counter to ripen and it was immediately eaten by a mouse. Kitchen is not fairly advertised either; there are only a few mismatched plates/bowls/silverware/cups, cupboards are broken and falling apart, there were no pot holders, baking sheets, or propane for the grill. You could make some pasta and fry some eggs but don't expect to cook a real meal in this kitchen. There is a gap in the railing above the furthest drop down the basement stairs that is unsafe for small children to be allowed near. The master bathroom has no door to separate it from the bedroom. Everything else was generally as depicted; all appliances worked well, very well-located near plenty of food options on New Loudon Road. Whoever was assigned to manage the property was very helpful and responsive, though we did not mention the issues reported here because there was not much to be done and frankly, we weren't comfortable complaining to a random stranger over text that is subcontracted by a property company, rather than someone at least registered with VRBO as the personal owner. Nothing against whoever was on the other end of the phone.
Much more financially reasonable to stay in Lathem, NY vs Saratoga during the races. The house and neighborhood was okay but not luxurious. Our friends needed a place to crate their dog while we were in and out and this worked out well. Needed more lights in back yard, night stands each bedroom, an air conditioner in each bedroom, and the yard needed raked if door poop as previous tenants did not clean up completely. Dried dog poop on front door rug when we walked in on Saturday. It cleaned up fine but it was a surprise under coffee table.
