Pet-Friendly Lake Getaway: 1 Block to Beach!

The property is lovely, inside and out. It provide a beautiful haven of physical and emotional comfort as we attended the funeral of a dear family member. We are grateful it was available and hope to return soon to enjoy it happier circumstances.

Great weekend visiting the dunes in the National and State park. The house location made it easy to access both.

We highly recommend this area and this home. The house has been updated with some of the original home remaining to give a wonderful cozy feel. It was very well equipped; we handled all our meals there. The location is superb- a few blocks to the Lake. Tom, the host, was outstanding. We will definitely come again in the future.

This house was exactly as described. And the location is exactly 1 block from the beach, making morning walks a must do. Our host was very responsive to my questions and made great recommendations. I will absolutely stay at this house again!

We had a great time. So close to beach we could walk. Very nice not to worry about parking and when it got too hot, just walked back to cool off. Home is very spacious and clean. Nice neighborhood. Tom was very helpful and great communication, we didn't need anything-all was perfect. Very responsive and informative. Outside patio was nice for relaxing and firepit was very nice, wood and roasting sticks were provided by Tom so that was really awesome!

The house was a couple minute walk from the beach and it is so private! There is no public parking so there aren't many ppl on the beach. The water was so clean and clear! The house was extremely clean, well kept, and safe. The firewood and propane are supplied. All of the linens including beach towels are provided. Tom was so incredibly kind and very attentive. We are already trying to figure out when we can go back! Flamingo pizza and sand and salsa are just a couple blocks away. We took the train into Chicago for a day and that was great! Indiana Dunes National Park west beach trails are very close to the house as well. Our dogs loved the house, the yard is very secure. Unlike some rentals there was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags! We can't wait to go back!!

My husband and I came with adult daughter and son-in-law and two dogs. The fenced yard was great for the dogs, and location near the beach was terrific! We’ve been renting through VRBO for 30 years, and Tom was the best, most responsive owner we’ve ever had!

We love staying on Oak Ave, this was our second year in this home and we are so grateful! The house is the perfect distance from the beach, always clean and stocked with necessities (toilet paper, paper towels, dishes/silverware, and plenty of linens). Tom is a great host and is just a text away!

Property is located 2 blocks from beach. Beds were comfortable and plenty of room for 6 adults. Out door fireplace and grill is a nice touch for evening cooking and relaxing.

The property was comfortable, clean and everything was in working order! We used the grill multiple times and enjoyed the firepit (wood was available from owner during our stay).Great home base for hiking the trails at the national park and resting comfortably at night.

This is my second year returning to the area for the Indiana Dunes Birding Festival and it was another spectacular visit! I was so grateful for the opportunity to stay here again! The house is clean, comfortable, and so cute! It really felt like a home away from home! The towels are fluffy, the beds are comfortable, and there is a cozy little outdoor seating area to relax and kick back after a long day of hiking and exploring.Its super close to the beach and the National Park and the dunes trails. When you come to visit check out places like Tiny's Coffee Bar and the Indiana Sand Dunes National Park! I can't wait to come back again next year! I'm already planning my next trip!

The property was perfect for our family! It was such a quick walk to the beach that I was able to take multiple beach walks between short rain showers. It was also close enough that we walked to grab pizza for the kids. The host was super communicative and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!

This property was perfect for our needs. We were walking distance to the lake. We were close to both the national and state Dunes parks. The electronics were great as was the kitchen. There was a fenced in back yard for our dog.

Great spot to get away while not really being too far from anything. Tom is great and very helpful with info about anything you need to know nearby. Very close to beach and very easy to get to and from beach areas. House is nice and spacious and listing is accurate.

This house was perfect for my adult children, their significant others and me and my boyfriend. Room to gather in the comfy living room or on the outside deck. We loved the location one block from the lake and Walking distance to a couple restaurants. Will definitely book another stay here.

My sons and I were looking for a quiet, comfortable place to stay near the beach. This checked all of our boxes. It was clean, well located, everything we could have wanted. Sitting out on the deck with a cup of coffee, listening to the birds in the morning was just what I needed. Thank you for an amazing weekend!

Our stay was absolutely amazing . House was very clean and provided everything we needed . Communication with the property owner was fabulous! He communicated with us every step of the way . The location was great as well with only being a block away from a private beach . My family really enjoyed their selves and made great memories on this trip . I highly recommend this house and location if your looking for a nice and peaceful little get away .

I came to the area for a birdwatching festival, this was the perfect location! The neighborhood was super cute, the home had everything I needed, and the host was wonderful to work with! Check in was easy- I arrived at night and felt safe even though I was traveling alone. The bed was so comfortable and the towels soft and fluffy! It felt just like a home away from home! The house is also very close to the beach and other park areas! Be sure to check out “Indie Indie Bang Bang!” While visiting, it is a super cute gift shop not too far from the house.WiFi and appliances were easy to use, and I had what I needed for cooking my meals before and after each day I spent exploring the dunes area. I cannot wait to stay here again!
