Longmont, Colorado
A gated sanctuary located on 29 private acres with privacy, views and luxurious accommodations . Your children and dogs are welcome. We have bird watching, a fully fenced yard and 30 acres of privacy. We are less than 15 minutes to Boulder, Lyons, Niwot and Longmont. Eldora Ski Resort and Rocky Mountain National Park are an easy hour drive. Dining and shopping is only 5 minutes away.
The house is a ranch style with a new deluxe kitchen, 2 new bathrooms, new laundry and a very comfortable layout for bedroom and bathroom privacy.
There is a patio with a gas grill, table and chairs for relaxing with unobstructed back range views.
The property is accessed through a security gate and a beautiful private driveway. Pet costs are additional and vary with length of stay.
The house it’s self is great and has anything you could need, and the property is absolutely beautiful, that being said it was not what was promised. The listing said 30 acres of privacy, not at all, Karen’s sister lives under your feet in the apartment downstairs and has a dog of her own, and there was several other dogs on different days walking around off leashes and the property is a active working horse ranch, which does make the air smell like horse poop, with several workers around everyday sawing with electric saws and mowing even early enough to wake us up. There is mention of no smoking in the listing but no where does it say no smoking on the property.I went and stood away from the house by my vehicle and smoked but after the second night I woke up to a very aggressive message saying that there is no smoking Anywhere in the property and that we needed to Leave!!!! That morning I had not yet seen this message and was taking the dogs outside when Karen rode up on her horse for the first time of me meeting her since checking in, I introduced my self and she said “ Yeah about that, I told you no smoking and at this point I want your party to leave!” I apologized and stated that I just wasn’t aware but she insisted that I knew because it sated so specifically in the listing and that she would just rather me leave. I managed to get her to let us stay but did not feel comfortable the rest of the time I was on my vacation. And there is another review just like mine from 2 years ago saying exactly what I experienced. Not a friendly host and would not recommend staying here.
This is a very beautiful property! The views of the mountains were amazing and the property itself was idyllic. The house had everything we needed for our month and a half long stay. The only downside was the laundry situation, but the owners were aware of the issue and sounded like it would be addressed. Highly recommend this property.
Get a taste of country living with a full mountain view, comfortable beds in a lovely home. This was the perfect setting to relax and enjoy while our puppies had a large fenced in yard to play safely. I hated to leave. Personable owners provided every thing we needed and more. I highly recommend.
I loved staying in this home! It had all the amenities you could ask for, kitchen well supplied, 3 comfortable bedrooms, and a very spacious living area. The views were wonderful; I got some really good sunset pics. We stayed here a week, traveling to different destinations each day. Rocky Mountain National Park is less than an hour away, and Mt Evans a bit further. Boulder and Longmont are cool towns to visit and both quite close.
Beautiful home and views, and the host was very accommodating regarding a special request
The home and property were beautiful! I loved the Mountain View’s and the fireplace of crystals was amazing. I think they need to update their information book. We knew there was no smoking indoors but unaware there was none outside as well. Because my husband smoked and has tattoos we were not greeted with kindness. The owner sent us a message stating if we couldn’t comply with the no smoking we would have to vacate the property. We were just unaware there was no smoking outside. There was no privacy in the home. The caretaker lives in a basement apartment with a small dog. ( that bit our puppy when she went by her door). Her entrance door is next to ours. There is a sky light that opens above her kitchen right next to the gas grill which she kept propped open, I was worried our small dog was going to fall into her apartment. We felt uncomfortable in the home and especially outside. We felt like every move we made was watched. The fenced in area was not secure for us as our small dog was able to crawl under the gate. The grounds are a working horse farm and just beautiful. The owners husband were very nice and welcoming! The property and home were clean and beautiful, just not what our family needed.
Perfect in every way!!!
Easy check-in and out. Layout of home was perfect for a vacation with all 3 bedrooms and the 2 baths on one side of the house and large open area with kitchen, eating, and living area on the other side. Lovely furnishings. Beautiful view out the living room sliders. Washer/dryer available for use. We were able to keep our dog in the fenced in yard as well as walk him on the large property. This is a working ranch, and the few times we did see people, they were very friendly. We came to CO to hike, attend an event in Boulder and visit with relatives. Good location for us. We would stay again. This is our 5th VRBO and is highly recommended.
The view from this comfortable, well furnished home is worth the price of admission. Surrounded by green fields and horse properties, it is peaceful, yet close to everything a person could need... dining, hiking, biking, Boulder entertainment, Rocky Mountain Park.... it has it all. The owners and property manager are gracious and available if needed. An extra bonus is the stable of beautiful horses on the property that the owner is happy to introduce to you. It's a special place. And I highly recommend it as the perfect home base for a Colorado front range vacation.
Longmont Estate This ranch could not have been more perfect for our family! The open floor plan makes this home feel very large and spacious with plenty of windows to take in the views of the epic sunsets over the mountains. However, watching the sunsets from either of the two great patio areas while dining was even more special. The landscaping and outdoor areas are perfectly maintained and it is very quiet here! You feel you're way out in the country but it was only a 20 minute drive to the event we were attending in Boulder and there are groceries, gas and restaurants within minutes of the ranch. Our dogs were in heaven in the fully fenced grass yard with a doggie pool and big shade tree and lots of room to run and play ball. This was a huge plus for us as our dogs are family and Karen the owner totally gets that! There were special water and food bowls and doggie treats waiting when we arrived. Also, she helped us out with a loner dog harness when ours broke! And, these awesome people even dog sat our dogs for us while we attended graduation in Boulder! We are so pleased with this place we are already planning our next trip to Longmont!
