Pet-Friendly Beach House W. Private Pool, Close To Beach

There were quite a few things that did not work...light in pool, light in microwave, no hdmi cable and the dvd player did not work, door hard to open and close, screen doors around pool did not lock, outside shower did not work and shower curtain rod in master bathroom needs to be replaced. For rental amount of almost $2,000 per week would think some of these things could/should be fixed.

Disappointing For The Price and Deposit. The Refrigerator freezer Did not work and we purchased ice every day. Refrigerator side worked marginally. Did not keep food in it for very long. It was clear someone knew this was an issue. The Shower by the pool (for use before you get in the pool) did not Work. The Pool top Skimmer Never worked only the bottom drain recirculated. The Sliding Door to the pool needs adjusted so that it can open. Expect my Deposit Back.

My husband and I booked Avery Beach Bungalow and were notified the next morning that the property is up for sale and an Open House had been scheduled by the owner which we were told had been cancelled and to put a sign outside informing everyone No Open House. We did not have anything to make signs notifying of such. Therefore, we were inconvenienced by strangers knocking and snooping around. Therefore, we decided to go to the beach to get away from the intrusions, only to come back to find that the refrigerator and freezer were NOT working. Everything in the freezer was completely thawed to include the big bag of ice we bought for our drinks, not to mention everything in the refrigerator was warm. We immediately placed a call to maintenance and were told the soonest maintenance can get there is an hour and fourty minutes. After waiting all afternoon and placing several calls, maintenance showed up at 5:30 and was there until 8:30 informing it was fixed. As of checkout the refrigerator and freezer still did not work. Also, the small mulch area around pool was loaded with animal feces (not from our pet) which smelled from the heat. Rental comes with internet, however it is UNSECURE. Therefore, useless. Definitely not worth the money. We've rented through VRBO, Home away and thankfully never ran into these issues. Appreciate compensation for the above inconveniences.

This home was perfect for us. Very roomy and clean. Just a block from sandy path leading to beach with boardwalk. Beautiful beach. Washer and dryer in garage. Wasn’t able to use back yard for our small dog - too overgrown - but she enjoyed the walks around neighborhood and down to water.

This is by far the best experience I have had with the property. I emailed the owner directly and they were also fantastic. The only complaint I have is that the property management company was not easy to deal with. They never called me back once I booked the property, gave us the wrong code and the garage door didn't work. Otherwise the stay was well beyond my expectatations. Including all the kitchen utensils.

We normally travel to the golf coast side but planned this trip around a concert being held at the St Augustine amphitheater. We were pleasantly surprised of the cleanliness and low key environment. The beach was breathtaking and can understand why the locals asked us to keep it to ourselves how wonderful St. Augustine is. (they would like to keep it this way) Avery’s beach Bungalow was a quaint place not located far from the beach. A beautiful shaded path walk through the natural brush on out to the beach only a block from the house. We are now planning a trip back mid-July bringing the whole family. We enjoyed our trip very much!
