Perfect Mountain Retreat

It was a beautiful place to stay. Super clean and everything one needed at a home away from home. We'd definitely stay there again.

This house was perfect for our black mountain stay. It was very clean. Had everything we needed. The communication was great. All around great experience. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect location to enjoy what the area has to offer! Under 30 minutes to the Asheville airport, a few minutes driving to all the shops and restaurants of Black Mountain, and only 20 minutes from Montreat. House has everything we needed to be comfortable and the hosts were very responsive to any pre trip questions we had.

The cottage was clean, great location, great furnishings, well stocked; everything that would be needed for a short or long stay. Unfortunately, soon after we checked in my wife started having breathing difficulties (we chose this cottage because of its location and no pets policy). We opened the windows and decided to walk to downtown Black Mountain; she cleared up soon after we started our walk. When we arrived back later in the evening she again started having difficulty breathing (she did take two different allergy medications but they did no good). After a difficult night for her I contacted the owners the next morning and informed them we would be checking out and would not stay the last 2 nights of our 3 night stay. The owners did offer the cottage next door as it did not have carpet, but it would not be available until 3 pm. Given my wife's condition, and not knowing what was causing her breathing issues (something in carpet, cleaning products, other cause) we informed the owner that it would be best if we returned home.

We really enjoyed our stay at Perfect Mountain Retreat. The house was super cute and clean. Beds were comfy, the kitchen was well-equipped. Jimmy was a great host and very responsive.

This was the perfect place for two adults for a weekend getaway. The home was beautiful and close to town. We really enjoyed the stay. I would definitely recommend this place for a vacation. Was very clean and neat perfect location to Black Mountain. Thank you for allowing us to visit.

A super clean, charming, completely comfortable cottage. We appreciated the owner's commitment to furnishings and amenities. The cottage is quiet, and a short, convenient drive to all points Black Mountain.

Very clean property! Would definitely stay here again. Well stocked. Owner was very helpful and easy going. Only one complaint, the steps are slippery when it is raining.

We enjoyed the house and the amenities. Everything was clean and all appliances worked as described. We enjoyed our stay until Hurricane Helene showed up towards the last few days. We were never in any danger and far away from the flooding, there was no damage, no leaks, no trees down, so the property survived the storm. We will return for a longer visit next year.

We traveled up to Black Mountain from Charlotte to visit our daughters at Warren Wilson College. We were also able to go into Asheville for a dinner and enjoy a walk around Black Mountain. The photos are accurate, but I think the property is actually even a little better than could be conveyed in a picture. Really, a perfect little property at great price point. We hope to return.

This place was fantastic. Perfect Location close to everything. Was Quiet, good neighbors, spotlessly clean. We loved everything about it. The place is even better than the pictures. Great host, easy communications. Especially close to Lake Tomahawk and a wonderful walking path. An excellent choice if you want to stay at Black Mtn. North Carolina.

This was our third stay at this vacation rental. It is around the corner from Lake Tomahawk for our daily walk and very convenient to downtown Black Mountain with great restaurants and shopping. As always the home is clean, comfortable and check-in is a breeze.

We loved this property! The house was spotless & the neighborhood was nice & quiet. Great location for all the outdoor adventures we had planned. The beds were comfortable & the front porch was a great spot!

This home is even better in person than in the photos! My sister and I stayed here briefly while attending a family event in the area. When we arrived, we were delighted by how clean and well appointed the house was. The owner provided clear directions for the house rules, cleanout, etc. and was responsive to questions we had before arrival. Our trip was, unfortunately, hampered by the Microsoft/ClowdStrike IT outage which canceled and delays flights across the country in July 2024, so we were only able to enjoy part of the stay we booked - we did not get to fully explore the area which would have been nice. But the neighborhood was quiet and convenient to everywhere we needed to get to. Would love to stay here again should we return to the area in the future.
