If you’re looking for a quiet place then this is the place for you! We once again enjoyed our extended weekend here at this beautiful home. The property is clean and has all the amenities you need to have a wonderful time. You’ll see deer and plenty of birds, too. The home is spotless including the bathrooms. We couldn’t be happier staying here and are already looking forward to yet another stay!

We stayed with another couple for a few nights April 2026, I cannot say enough positive about our stay, the property, & mgmt. 1st- this is a small older home which has been updated reasonably well. It's small but plenty of room for 2 couples, having 2 in-suite bathrooms is really nice and we specifically were looking for a place with 2K beds. Kitchen has been updated and has everything needed to cook for yourselves to avoid going out periodically. Nice little living area with a nice fireplace in the living space. Lots outside as well, we enjoyed the firepit probably more than anything - but lots of space and wildlife around - a nice quiet break from the day-to-day life. All interactions with the owner were fantastic and prompt - we never lacked for anything and she even checked in when there were some power blips in town to make sure we did not need anything to be reset. We were fine, but it shows the care she has for her clients.Probably the thing I appreciated most were the dozens of small touches that made our stay that much easier. Countless small things that mean a lot as you're trying to get checked in and get settled. Each member of our group commented on many of these- one example I appreciated personally was having several coffee creamers available which was very helpful. Place was clean and obviously well cared for- we will definitely come back as we travel to the Hill Country.

We have rented this house multiple times and it is always great. At the top of our list for places we have rented. Has all the supplies you need. So peaceful sitting out by the fire pit and watching the deer come up or relaxing in the hot tub as the deer walk by. So many birds around the bird feeders. This place is a must for a relaxing getaway and perfect after a day of wine tours. Thank you for taking such pride in your house and sharing it.

Such a lovely place. The yard is fenced so dog friendly, but remember to close the gate. The house was very clean and had all the supplies needed. We did not use the hot tub. We would definitely stay again.

This cute cottage is an excellent location out of town and the area is quiet, but close enough for restaurants and Main Street. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you may need. The owner was helpful. Sip coffee on the front porch in the mornings or enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings.

The owner is very conscientious and friendly. The location is second to none. We have going back for four now.

Tara was a fantastic host! The property has everything needed for a quiet weekend. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils needed to create a gourmet meal. The hot tub was a perfect addition after a hike at Enchanted Rock or a day of shopping. The property even included bicycles and helmets to take advantage of the wonderful outdoors. We loved rocking on the front porch watching the birds at the feeders and the cattle in the distance. I highly recommend this property. The hostess even provided a lovely cake and sparkling wine when I told her we were celebrating our 30th anniversary. Thank you for making this a wonderful weekend Tara!

This is a wonderful property with thoughtful amenities throughout the home. We (2 couples) enjoyed the easy access to Fredericksburg and Hye! The host was kind enough to offer a variety of snacks and many other useful items during our stay. We loved the quiet surroundings! We hope to return soon!

The house was very friendly, the house was equipped with anything and everything we needed kind of amazing. The location was perfect for us. We live on an acreage in OKLAHOMA and preferred not to be in a hotel or houses hip hip hip. My office in Oklahoma City is in a building is built in 1940s, I really appreciate old buildings and especially well. Kept old buildings. We had a fantastic time.

This was the best vacation rental experience. The hosts have truly thought of everything and made the experience truly seamless and so enjoyable. We have already booked a return trip!

We love the fact this place is outside of town away from the noise and gives you the peace and quiet we need at times. Is approximately 10 minutes away from town so is close enough to go get groceries or shopping. Tara was more than awesome welcoming us to her place. The house is well equipped with everything you need inside and outside. It looks amazing inside, especially as it was decorated for the season. Tara had complementary candies, snaks, chocolates and a bottle of wine in the refrigerator upon our arrival. Everything was just amazing, hot tub outside was awesome, front porch sitting area super enjoyable along with BBQ pit, outside patio furniture and inise it has the lovely romantic cozy chimney.

We had such a wonderful stay! The house was cozy, spotless, and beautifully decorated for Christmas, which made it feel extra special. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy—such a thoughtful touch. The hot tub was perfect for the cold weather, and our dogs absolutely loved having the fenced-in yard to roam and hang out in. Overall, a perfect getaway. Highly recommend!

It’s an amazing day

Our host was amazing! The home was incredible from the cleanliness to the calming and beautiful decor! Not only was the inside impeccably clean, so was the grounds. Everything is so carefully thought out. Everything you need away from home is there. Solid instructions are easily found for any possible questions you may have. And communication with our host was great and responds very promptly. Lighting to welcome us in for our late arrival was nice for security and safety. This host thinks of everything as though you are part of the family. Stay! You won't regret an excellent relaxing home!

What an incredible home and idyllic space. We cannot wait to come again. Everything was perfect from the amenities to the view and the animals. Perfection!

The property was beautiful and clean. Everything looked exactly like the pictures. Great location halfway between Fredericksburg and the wineries along US 290. The house was stocked with everything you could need for a most enjoyable stay. Numerous places to sit outside and watch the local wildlife. Especially enjoyed using the hot tub at night while gazing at the stars. Appreciated the owner's willingness to help with a last minute scheduling change. We'll be back!

House is just picture perfect and spotless. Perfect for relaxing and watching birds, deer and butterflies. Has a fireplace and firepit but wasn't weather for that. Far enough out of town to be peaceful but close enough to be easy to get to everything. Tara supplies all kind of little extras including a birthday cake for me. Our second time to rent. You won't be disappointed!!

The house and location is wonderful and very peaceful. It was a short drive to everything we wanted to do. The house has everything you could need in the kitchen. More than enough towels in the bathrooms. The snacks that were there for us when we arrived was such a nice touch. My favorite thing to do after a day of exploring was sitting on the front porch rockers watching the butterflies, hummingbirds, and deer.

The property was very well cared for and clean! Enjoyed a bike ride and hot tub. The only reason gave 4 stars and not 5 was because of the hot water issues. We did as instructed, however I was still not able to get hot water during my shower. Otherwise it was a fantastic stay! I do recommend.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this property. Kitchen is very well stocked, as well as the entire cottage actually. Owner left little niceties for us at checkin. We really enjoyed seeing the hummingbirds, deer and wild turkeys that passed through the property each day. We found this cottage to be a very comfortable place to stay.

Felt like home so comfortable. Everything you could imagine was thought of she even left a surprise to help us celebrate our 42 anniversary. Even texted me to make sure we didnt need anything. And the location was perfect.Definitly will stay here again.

The property was absolutely amazing. The pictures do not do it justice. The attention to detail and decor is what makes this house a must stay. Everything you need is there and there is never a need to leave. The sun rises on the side of the bedrooms and sets on the side of the living room. The property manager is amazing and very responsive. This is now our place to stay while in Fredericksburg. The only negative I have, is having to leave.

Place was great...super clean, very quiet, close to town, well maintained and stocked. Perfect location for visiting the area!

Everything was so clean and they absolutely thought of everything! We were greeted with a sweet little welcome card, some cookies and a bottle of prosecco! The host was so accommodating! This is our new spot Everytime we come and visit now.

Absolutely wonderful stay. They have done a great job with the decor and amenities. The outside had everything you need for a couples retreat as well as the inside. Very quiet and peaceful. Host is very responsive and went out of her way to make sure we had everything needed to enjoy our stay. She even had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne for valentines weekend in the frig! We are already talking about when we will be back!

This place covers it all. They have everything you need for a weekend getaway. By far the best place we have stayed in with everything needed to enjoy. It is stocked and ready with all the amenities you need. Love having a fire pit to sit at and watch deer at the feeder, or soak in the hot tub and watch the deer walk by. When you are ready for dinner they have everything you need to cook up a nice meal. Couldn't ask for anything more at this place!!! Our 2nd stay here and we will be back!!!

Our family of 4 stayed 4 nights during Thanksgiving. We enjoyed every moment in and out side the home. Kitchen had everything plus. Tara was easy to work with, she responded quickly to any question and gave us great choices where to wine and dine. Spotless and beautiful we look forward to staying there again. Thank you Tara!

We like to visit Fredericksburg a couple times a year. This was hands down our favorite place to stay! They allowed us to check in early and bring our dogs for no extra fees. The place was beautifully decorated for Christmas. They had all the conveniences you could need. And even left a welcome note with a bottle of Prosecco and Milano cookies (my favorite) in the fridge. I absolutely see why they have a 5 star rating!

The home and property were amazing. It was perfect for 2 couples and had a fully fenced in yard area for the dog, who may have enjoyed it more than us!! It was remote, while still being close to everything. The home was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. It was just so wonderful seeing the deer every morning and afternoon at the feeder. It was just what we needed!

We were 2 senior couples first time in Fredericksburg for 3 nights. The location was wonderful. Close enough to town to be convenient but very private. We could not have asked for more complete accommodations. From coffee, creamer, ice, wine, cookies, snacks, directions for all the equipment and amenities, restaurant and winery listing: everything had been thought of. The house was immaculate. Tara was easy to work with. She even provided morning and evening entertainment-deer, horses, cows and a long horn steer.

Very relaxing country setting. Outdoors amenities are great! Two sitting areas with views of fields and pastures. Fire pit had plenty of wood, starter blocks and lighter. The flower gardens were full of butterflies. Each evening and morning we had a lot of deer come by! The hot tub was a nice way to ease into the evening outside with beautiful sunsets. The lighting outside was on timers and great for the whole property without being too much. The house itself and amenities were very high end and modern. Everything you can think of is provided for cooking and meals overall. The furniture and finishes were amazing and made for a great compliment to being out in the country but having all the modern amenities you would want inside. Can’t say enough about the property, the house, the checkin was super easy and detailed instructions. Definitely coming back!

We loved this house just outside of F'burg Texas. It's quite; well appointed; tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. Tara and Jeff are great hosts, they've thought of everything for their property. Timely communication. I had trouble with the door opening (MY FAULT, NOT THEIR'S!). They drove out to the house immediately to ensure we could get in. They provided great suggestions on things to do and great restaurants. We will definitely book this property again the next time we visit F'burg. Highly recommend.

What a treat. First, but definitely NOT the last, time staying! Extremely communicative and accommodating host, with some special touches added to welcome us for the weekend. Absolutely gorgeous setting on great acreage, complete with dozens (!!!) of daily deer sightings, birds, hummingbirds, butterfly's...if nature is your thing, you need to stay here. House is very well appointed, tastefully decorated and very comfortable to relax in. Under a 10 minute drive into town, which was perfect to hit up Oktoberfest. Will certainly be back.
