Stayed Jun 22, 2025Deer Mesa was a perfect home for our family group of 4 couples and 7 children ages 5 to 14. The kids were crazy about the theater room, and everyone enjoyed the pool table and ping pong. The huge deck with lots of seating for hanging out or having a meal outdoors was wonderful, plus we all loved the hot tub. (Deck/porch in the front was also a wonderful place to hang out.) The 7 bedrooms with ensuite baths were a huge hit with everyone, and beds were comfy. Generally, it was just great to have so much space inside and outside with a group this large, and a big plus is how beautifully decorated this home is. The kitchen was stocked with some of the things we ended up needing but hadn't brought. And the cookware was exceptional. Although it's a bit of a trek into Taos, we got used to it and to making sure that we'd been to the grocery store before going back to the house! The setting of the home is worth it. The Ski Valley and hiking is much closer than Taos; Arroyo Secco is also much closer and has some cute stuff. Everyone in our family - kids and adults - wants to go back to Deer Mesa!
