Perfect Cottage Style Home

The house was not clean. I messaged the host immediately after arrival. It was gross to have to find the vacuum and broom before taking our shoes off or anything. She offered to come vaccum and said they hired a new cleaning company. Which clearly no cleaning had been done at all there. It was a situation that made the house feel gross. There were lots of bugs randomly in the house. Several blinds were broken thoughout the house. As well as things not working properly, internet, and dishwasher to name a couple. The house was nice. It was just not clean at all.

This cottage was just what we needed for our 10 day stay. When something was missing or needed, our host was quick to our answer our requests and quick to provide what was needed. Appliances and supplies were furnished, and due to our longer stay, the use of the washer and dryer were perfect. Bedrooms were perfect for us and beds were large and soft. We will consider this place again if we are staying in the Kansas City, MO area.

Beautiful place, very homey. Comfortable king size beds in every room. Beautiful, big back yard. Located near convenience stores, shopping centers, and parks. Calm and quiet neighborhood. We stayed the week for a boxing tournament and will most definitely stay here again next year.

This place was absolutely perfect for our little family. There was plenty of room for me my, husband, our 2 frenchtons. Sometimes when you get a pet friendly place it is a nightmare. This house is clean and it has 0 smell which we Ioved. Also the privacy fence is a god sent for our pups. The beds were wonderful and really comfortable. And the water pressure in the shower was to die for. It had everything we needed. We would 10/10 recommend!!

Good location, great communication, and easy access

House was very spacious and conveniently located. Gas, grocery stores, and fast food close by. Easy drive to Arrowhead/ Kauffman. Neighborhood was quiet. Could hear a train on occasion but that was really the only noise. Fun layout. Two bedrooms are close by and near bathroom. With the other being on the other side of the house. Which is nice if someone needs some space from the other areas. Rooms are very spacious! We did not use the kitchen so I cannot speak on that but did have the basics we needed. Fenced in backyard is large and good for play. Host responded fast. This was a great stay, we would recommend!

We thoroughly e noted our stay. The 3 beds were so comfortable, and the house was exactly what we needed. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook throughout our stay. Cara was quick to respond!

The house was great—could have used a few more items that would have made the stay easier. There were no kitchen towels and no hand towels in the bathroom.. The house itself is very cute and cozy. Beds were comfortable. Maybe a bit more furniture in the bedrooms would make them feel more comfortable.

The residence was pet friendly and had an excellent layout for my elderly parents. It was all one level and 2 bedrooms were near the bathroom for them. The bedrooms were big and beds were comfortable

Host was easy to communicate with. Dishes were in dishwasher. Cobwebs and crumbs. Had to buy more toilet paper. Not enough towels for 6 guests and couldn’t locate remote

We were very pleased with size of house and location. Not a criticism, but a suggestion would be to place benches, luggage racks or other furniture in bedrooms. We were four mature (old) ladies and having to have our luggage in the floor was a little difficult. We had a great time visiting your city.

All good. Very hot water, good Internet, comfy beds. Communucation good. Check in smooth and easy.

The house itself was nice. 3 spacious bedrooms with closets, an air mattress if needed, large fans, eat in kitchen, backyard, living room etc. easy to get in and lock thr door. Ubers were always easily available and close in proximity to arrowhead which is thr reason why we came to Kansas City. Although the house was spacious and in a good location, the house definitely does not get a good cleaning on a routine basis. Upon entry it smelled musty like its not frequently occupied and we could see the cobwebs on the light fixtures, old food particles like popcorn under the couch, dust piles on top of basically all fixtures including the bathroom walls, mantle, table in kitchen and near all the baseboards. The bathroom had an old bar of used soap in the shower.

Clean but dated. Property needs some TLC. Furniture is comfortable, but if you are Senior with mobility issues getting up from couch and bed is a bit difficult (low). Bathroom tub/shower needs updating. Backyard needs some TLC. Stayed 5 nights, the house was ok. It did meet our needs. Less than 30 minutes to everything we wanted to see. Thank you

Beautiful house in a fantastic location. We really loved the size, and the backyard was awesome. We did knock a star off for the following things, which should be noted. However, they were fairly minor when compared to the entire experience.1. The trash near the fence was overflowing and had not been taken for quite a long while.2. The cleaning fee was substantial. Overall, the house was decently clean (bedding/towels, etc. were washed). However, there was substantial dust on fans and surfaces, dead insects in corners, and used tissues stuffed in the couch cushions.3. The house is a REALLY cool 1960s house. It does, however, need a little maintenance. The biggest example of this is the pergola on the rear deck. It is broken, falling down, and in need of repair.Overall, a really positive experience, and we would stay there again. I just would hope the hosting company would put a little more time and effort into the location.

Didn’t end up staying, had to get hotel. Mice droppings, spider eggs and used Kleenex around bed areas. Left first night and would like a refund.

Comfortable house in a rundown neighborhood. The house was nice - very comfortable beds. There was a smell in the house (there were air fresheners in every room). The house had the basic supplies for a stay.

Cute cottage home. Not the cleanest, but not too bad. We enjoyed our ladies’ weekend.

Perfect locations and everything was great.

The house was perfect for myself and my 2 daughter in laws for a long weekend getaway! We all had our own space to relax and living room was large enough to enjoy. Only suggestion would be the bathroom could use a little updating but nothing to hinder our weekend!

Proximity to Kauffman Stadium was great, everything else fell short of expectations :(The pictures posted must be old. The lawn and landscaping was overgrown and unsightly. The yard was unusable and made us second guess our reservation from the moment we arrived. The owner did send a lawn crew over to clean up the place (odd since I made a comment about this in front of a camera they have mounted outside the front door), but they arrived at 8am and were around for two of our days on vacation - certainly made it hard to relax. While the house had plenty of space for our family, the inside needs some serious TLC. Dirty dishes in the cabinets, cobwebs in the corners and the bathroom shower/tub has been painted and is peeling. It’s unfortunate since the pictures don’t reveal any of these things.Do your research before visiting, other than the easy drive to and from the stadium, this part of KC is not inviting and very run down.We don’t like leaving negative posts, but this VRBO won’t be on our list of places to stay in KC in the future :(

Another family was in the house when we arrived at 10:30 p.m. They had booked the dates for 2026 but had been given the code to enter the house. Because of that snafu the property manager came to sort things out and thankfully was able to bring some toilet paper and paper towels otherwise we would have had nothing until stores opened in the morning. We felt that having a check out time of 10 a.m. was a little too early.

The house is very nice. Yard is overgrown and gate on back fence not working. Gave it a 4 instead of 5 because of a loud train at night. Didn’t bother everyone but woke me 3 times the first night

It was spacious, on a quiet street and had everything we needed. The owner was also incredibly responsive during our stay. Thank you!

House is cute and was surface clean. It needs a little tlc inside and on the grounds outside. Several broken and dirty blinds and inside tub area needs tile and caulking repair. Bedrooms are large and beds comfortable.

House was exactly as described. Location isn’t the most desirable. Worked perfectly for my family in town for a basketball tournament.

This was a very enjoyable staying a convenient Independence location. The bedrooms are quite large, the beds very comfortable. It was very delightful to just order food and enjoy a meal with friends in the windowed dining room, or just sit in the warm sun on the back deck! I look forward to visiting again!

Place itself was fantastic. Some of the neighbors houses were quite rundown.

Had a wondeful stay. The house was so cozy and we had the perfect amount of room to watch movies, play cards, and sleep comfortably. Would love to visit again

What a cute and cozy place. Took us 15 minutes to get to the game and there were numerous local restaurants nearby. Highly recommend staying here and we hope to return!

The property was clean and nicely provisioned. The only minor thing is that there are train tracks close by. I’m a light sleeper, so I did wake up a time or two. Otherwise a nice place to stay.

The house was very spacious and equipped with all the basics including floor fans in all the bedrooms! Check in and check out was seamless. I also appreciated there wasn't a lot of extra junk in the house. The closets and drawers were empty making room for our things and it didn't feel like we were just squatting in someone else's house. The landscaping was extremely overgrown along with the grass in the backyard which made it difficult for the kids to play. It's located across from a school which made me feeler safer about the location but overall the area wasn't great. It was adequately clean but could use a deep clean as there were lots of dust bunnies lurking and spider webs in corners.
