Nice house that suited our family of 11 very well
Thanks had lots of room.
Great property. Looked bigger in person than in the pictures. Ten of us stayed very comfortably and enjoyed our time there. Close to Pella where we hung out one day.
The house had plenty of room for nine of us. It’s conveniently located to the lake and town. We found it very clean and had all the amenities we needed.
I grew up in Pella and brought college, grad school and KC friends to Pella and the State Fair to celebrate my 50th birthday. Location and house were ideal--kitchen and pantry had everything we needed! Thanks for being part of a memorable trip!
After traveling overnight for 8 hours, once we arrived at the home I searched my email to find check in information. After not being able to locate the information, I emailed the property owner to let him know we had arrived. After waiting ten minutes, the owner called me back and informed me that he did not have any details of my stay and that we would need to leave the property. I explained that I had been in contact with both him and his wife and had paid the amount for the stay and had a confirmation number from Vrbo of them taking my money. He told me that he did not have any info that we needed to vacate the property and hung up. I started looking for a number to contact Vrbo and get another call from the property manager wife apologizing for how her husband spoke and acted toward me. I confirmed with her that we had a paid reservation and I sent her screenshots of the Vrbo information. She was apologetic and informed me that Vrbo never sent them anything and this had happened before. Although I was glad she apologized, it still did not help to have her husband speak to me the way he did, and my team and husband heard him. It made it very uncomfortable the first few nights. The wife did offer to purchase lunch for the team, but we never were able to coordinate. Other than that the home was clean and nicely set up. The property is actually beautiful. It was just the check in process was not favorable
We had a great stay- very nice place. Everything was clean, it was large, with comfortable beds. Lots of room for our large group (12 people).
This site was used as the primary gathering place for a family reunion. It had ample space for people to spread out for relaxation or come to together for family meals and celebrations. The property was VERY well maintained, clean and modern. The double kitchens were a bonus. Plenty of bathrooms to accommodate a crowd. Lovely outdoor space.Would highly recommend it to anyone.
This home was perfect for our 3 generation family of 13. I was born in Pella and my husband and I grew up and were married in Knoxville so we are very familiar with the area. We wanted to bring our children and grandchildren “home” with us. Since we all live in Arizona, the green of south-central Iowa was so refreshing. The setting of the home was lovely, the interior was comfortably furnished, and it had everything we needed for our 6 night stay. We highly recommend this home for any group, large or small.
This place served our family well for a quiet Midwest gathering place for 9 senior adult family members. The kitchen was well equipped and served our needs very adequately. Much time was spent in the comfortable great room sitting in a large circle reminiscing our childhood years. The lower level was less adequate as it was colder and three bedrooms needed to share the same bathroom. Therefore most activities were up stairs. We never used the TV’s or other entertainment items so can’t comment on them.
Was a great place for my family to all be together for our son's graduation
Great place to relax & craft Owner was very good with communication
Great place for a family’s retreat. Second stay and just a good as the first.
This place was perfect for our family to get together to celebrate my Mom's 82nd birthday. There were 10 of us staying at the house and we had plenty of room to gather together and celebrate. The best part of the house was how quiet and peaceful it was and every morning and evening we had deer in the yard. There is also a paved trail within walking distance that takes you through some beautiful wooded areas with views of the lake. We will definitely think of using this place again and recommend it to anyone staying in the Pella area. Thank you!
Was a fantastic weekend. The had everything we needed and scenery was beautiful. Will definitely stay again
House was great and was seamless and could be.
My adult children, their spouses and children celebrated all of the holidays of the year over our 4 day stay. The home made it easy to have family time and individual bedrooms for times when it time settle in for the weekend.
The best spot to stay in the Pella area! Thanks for another great stay.
Overall, very very nice. Mattresses in a couple rooms were warn on one side... need to be flipped.
Very easy to navigate the VRBO website. Property was even better than we expected. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The house accommodations were great and being in the country with room to play and having a fire at night was perfect! Close to great things to do in the town of Pella and the lake and trails!
Beautiful property! Very Clean -- Lots of space for everyone -- 10 Adults. Well stocked kitchen/pantry. Beds were comfortable. Great space outside for games and activities. Close to biking trail and a couple minute drive to the lake. Everything was as advertised and we will definitely be back!
This was a wonderful place to stay,. This was just a family gathering for us this summer, but we could not have been happier. The house is very nice and there is space for everyone. Additionally, there was NOTHING that we needed that was not there. Thanks to all involved in maintaining this property!
We appreciated this home's cozy gathering space for our family's June stay...and close proximity to downtown Pella attractions. It housed us comfortably and provides a safe, friendly and clean environment!
We had a great time with extended family. The house was spacious and the owners had thought of everything. We loved spending time on the deck and in the screened porch. A wonderful time was had by all.
