Pelican Pointe 2A -Updated townhome on the beach

The location was fantastic. Right on the beach (limited beach views though but still great). The home is in great shape. The rooms each had its own bathroom. The king beds were SO comfortable. Great location, lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. While the trolly doesn't always run on time, it's a great resource. We would stay here again.

Clean rooms, short walk to beach

Check in was a breeze. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary cookware to make dinners. There’s a nice large storage space to keep all your beach items in. The location is perfect. We will be staying there again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was excellent. The beds, the well stocked kitchen, and the laundry facilities were top notch. The decks on both levels got a lot of use. The sunsets were great to watch from there or they were actually nice quiet places to sit when needed. The location is great for the beach as it's far from the public beach access points so not so crowded. We got to know some of the regulars staying around us who were great folks. There's always lots to do, places to go, and more but for us the beach, rest, snorkeling, and shelling was best. Honeymoon Island has absolutely amazing shelling if that's something of interest while the beach out front has amazing sand dollars to be found while snorkeling!

The ocean view from this condo was a thin sliver of space between two other condos located between it and the beach. More like a peephole view of the ocean. Additionally, the sliding glass door could not be locked. To safely secure the door, you had to use the 2 x 2 piece of lumber to wedge in the door. Lastly, and most concerning, are the very steep steps (2 flights) to get to the front door. Feels more like you’re climbing a ladder than steps. After almost falling, we decided to leave early due to safety concerns.

Clean and great accessories in kitchen

Location was key for us, 30 secs from door to beach. Was a fun and relaxing time with the family.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this unit was very private and very nice. As far as the unit itself it needs a ton of work the AC is broken and broke twice while we were there on our last night we slept with 80°. There are several liability issues within the unit such as rusted nails sticking out of a piece of wood upon leaving the bedroom into the balcony, also broken tile on the kitchen floor in the kitchen. The storage unit under the carport was very messy and filled with broken things, in comparison to other units there. While we were there we made some friends and they showed us their storage unit which was very organized and even had two bicycles and was very well equipped. It made me feel like the owners do not take pride in their investment but I would rather just collect the rental fees instead of putting money back into the unit. The kitchen was extremely dated and yes it was well equipped but very dated. The only nice place in the unit was the balcony . I would definitely go back to this location but not to this unit. One night was a waste with a broken AC and I should really be refunded for one night.Not worth the $2300 plus for the week.

Reviewer Comments: We love this area we have stayed several times, this was our first time in this unit, the stairs were quite a freak so remember that when packing. The cleaning could have been done better I was disappointed to find several things of old food left in the fridge and the place had a musty smell when we got there, overall we had a great time regardless.
