The home was very comfortable and clean. It was in walking distance to everything we needed. It was very family friendly area. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to go to Cumberland Island to stay here. Landlord was very quickly to respond to my messages. Grandchildren enjoyed having a playground across the street.

We loved this little house and its surroundings. When does an on-line rental turn out to be better than it looks in the pics? Well, that's true here. The house is bigger than it appears, has comfortable beds/furniture, and a very good-sized screened in back porch. Unfortunately, bc of the gov't shutdown, the Cumberland Island ferry wasn't running but we had a really nice time anyway. Pretty little town within very easy walking distance and lots of cool old houses. Very nice public spaces too! I definitely recommend.

House/property was exactly how it was described in listing. Very cute older home. Clean,Comfortable and Convenient. With in walking distance to restaurant, beach and the Cumberland island Ferry. Within 5-10 mins from a sweet Bakery and an Aldi grocery. Also St. Simons is only an hour away which is also a lovely place on the water

My husband and I rented the house to be close to Cumberland island ferry, it did not disappoint. Walking distance to the ferry, lovely clean and convenient place to stay. Walking distance to town restaurants and shopping.

This place is quaint and we loved it! Beautiful hardwood floors, a true old cabin that has been updated and well maintained. The AC worked fine although we really didn't need it much. The host was terrific. We will tell all our friends and family and we will stay again. It was exceptionally convenient to go to Cumberland Island for our tour - walked to the ferry.

This place is magical. We enjoyed our stay and fell in love with St. Mary’s. The house is very old. It’s Like going to your grandmas house. With it being old, comes old house issues. The toilet was finicky and the water pressure was meh. The house is super cozy and cute. The location is perfect.

Facilitated what we needed as we really only used the house to shower and sleep. Would recommend some cosmetic work to help it feel a lot more cared for and welcoming. Its got age on it which can bring charm and appeal, but it really needs some TLC. There is no need to list those items that need attention. The check in and minimal communication we had was great, very clear instructions and directions. Beautiful area and parking across the street was easy. Thank you

We were very comfortable during our stay. We could see the owners have made a great deal of effort to make guests comfortable. The location was fantastic, we wish the weather had been so too, but the full day of our stay was very windy and cold.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was exactly as advertised. It is charming and cozy. The king bed was especially comfortable! It is very close to the ferry going to Cumberland Island and everything else in town. The town itself is quiet and feels very safe. We were amazed at all the history of St Mary’s! We rode our bikes all around the town. David was responsive and accommodating. We will definitely stay again if in the area and we highly recommend The Sweetest Spot.

We enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and relaxing, and everything we needed was within walking distance. We checked in then walked around St Mary's. People were friendly and a couple of people, working in their yards stopped to talk with us. We walked through the historic cemetery and then through the History Walk. It was very interesting and informative. We enjoyed the evening sitting on the back, screened porch. The next morning we walked to the ferry for our day at Cumberland Island. The house is old, but very clean and was exactly as listed. I would stay there again. My only issue was with the lock box. The numbers were difficult to turn and was left unlocked. I was unable to turn the numbers to lock it when we left. Perhaps it needs some oil or, should be replaced.

Our family loved everything about this home. Cozy, yet roomy enuf for privacy. Quiet neighborhood and convenient to great restaurants, museums, playgrounds, fishing, Cumberland Island Ferry, charming waterfront park with adult swings overlooking the peaceful water (our favorite zen activity), great biking & walking areas.. Hostess was promptly effective & pleasantly helpful to our question about the lockbox. It was a long drive from the northeast Georgis mountains but definitely worth every mile! We so very much hope to make a return visit! Thak you!
