Old fashion country charm. We enjoyed the old farmhouse and the animals. Listening to the sounds of horses coming down the road. Lots of space for my multi generational family to enjoy. We will definitely visit again. The hosts had an eye for detail from the fresh flowers to the cookies and milk waiting for us. Such a pleasant stay.
It was a absolute treat getting to stay here, the welcoming cookies & milk just added a nice at home feel. With the animals every morning lookin forward to apples to exploring the Amish Country and surrounding areas. This home is perfect if your having business near by.
My sisters and I rented the Old Farmhouse for a long weekend to spend time together with our children and grandchildren. The house was a perfect venue. The home is beautiful, clean and spacious. Upon entering you feel a sense of peacefulness. The owners put a lot of effort into making the home feel warm and welcoming, leaving eggs, milk, butter, cookies, fresh cut flowers in several rooms and necessary toiletries. Our children and grandchildren loved feeding the horse, donkey and goats the apples and food that was provided. The landscaping and sunset views were spectacular. We especially loved the large kitchen table where we could all gather for meals and to play games. Our children and grandchildren are already looking forward to returning for another family gathering next year. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.
Everything was great
We absolutely LOVED this home! It was old, yet you could tell it had been modernized. That didn't matter to us, however, we loved the personality of the old home. Our favorite was the screened in porch. This is where we spent all of our downtime at! We loved hearing and watching the horse and buggys drive by whether it be morning or afternoon. One day we heard a buggy drive by singing There's no God like Jehovah. We couldn't help but join in! We also loved watching the horse, donkey and goats while sitting there and the kids absolutely LOVED feeding them everyday with the apples the host left for us. The host even left milk, eggs, butter, and yummy cookies for us upon arrival. The home was very clean and fit our needs for our family of 12 perfectly! We hope to be back to Gap one day and stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful experience!
We had a great time. The house was exactly what our two families needed and the kids really enjoyed the animals. I would go back.
This house was perfect for our large family. The location was close to local attractions, but far enough away to enjoy Amish country and rest. We hope to return again in the future.
Renting the property was easy and efficient
This lovely old farmhouse was a great place for our 4 generations to gather for the Christmas holiday. Plenty of room, comfy beds, adorable farm animals, and nice homey touches.
We are return guests. Our family gathered for thanksgiving and throughly enjoyed our stay ! The granddaughters loved feeding the animals. We will return again.
The house feels like a real farmhouse. It is huge, spotless and the animals are right in your backyard which was wonderful. My grandchildren were thrilled.
We all agreed hands down this home provided the best night’s sleep any of us have had in awhile!! The beds, pillows, bedding and amount of available blankets were spot on…we like to sleep chilly! Scented hand soaps in the bathrooms made it feel like home. Ariana was super responsive (on a Sunday even) when we had some difficulties! So helpful and took care of it right away! This place was amazingly relaxing! The clip-clop of the horses late into the night was so relaxing! We wished we had a week to spend! Only tidbits I’d add for improvements and they are minor things…a tissue box would have been nice to have…coming from out of state to much cooler weather had most of us with drippy noses. And another touch would just be a small trash can by the coffee bar to throw away tea bags, etc. Not a huge deal, but hate to drip tea on the floor running to the trash can! It was a GREAT visit! Thank you!!
The property was beautiful. The house is a great layout even for large families. Clean and stocked. Very nice choice in a welcome treat.
Overall pleasant and peaceful place. Cool accommodation and surroundings. Air conditioning was a little weak at sometimes. But we really enjoyed the stay.
The neighborhood was amazing and the few animals on the property kept the kids very busy.
We all loved this big clean peaceful house. Beautifully maintained.
This property was very welcoming. Gentle horse, donkey and goats were great with our kids. House and land were beautiful. The hosts left us milk, eggs, butter and a pie which was delicious and a very thoughtful gesture. Would rebook again.
Another memorable stay at the Old Farm House. I would highly recommend this property.
This house was perfect for our family trip to Amish country. The owners put a lot of thought into the details and left us some cookies, milk, eggs, butter and coffee, which was very much appreciated. They were very responsive over email both before and during our trip. The house itself is charming. It was very clean and our group of 7 had plenty of space to spread out. Household items like dish soap, sponge, hand soap and toilet paper were all provided. The kids had plenty of space to play outside and loved the tire swing out front and the animals in the meadow. The owners left us apples to feed the horse and donkey, and there is goat feed in the barn for the goats. At one point, one of the goats used its little steps to climb up onto the horse’s back and was just hanging out, standing on top of the horse. ? The horse is so sweet and patient, he didn’t seem to mind. There’s also a basketball hoop hanging on the barn so you might want to bring a basketball with you if you like to play. The location of the house was great in relation to Amish country attractions. One day we went to Old Windmill Farm and the other we did the Strasburg Railroad.
