Home was just lovely, very charming. Location was really peaceful and we really enjoyed having coffee on the porch while the cows in the pasture next door had their breakfast graze right next to us. Slept better than I have in months.

Spacious, very relaxing, very clean, well-stocked with multiple thoughtful touches--coffee, detergents, towels, toiletries, hair dryer...AND fresh cookies & breakfast sausge just for us!We enjoyed looking through the albums of how the house was restored & describing the history of its family.Easily one of the top places we have ever stayed. Will look forward to returning!

We stayed at the house as a vacation to visit different things in St. Louis. It was a great retreat from the hustle and bustle of St. Louis.

Had a wonderful time in this very comfortable home away from home! The home is very spacious. The beds, pillows, and throws were comfortable and plentiful! The large kitchen had everything we need to cook and plenty of space to make it comfortable! There was loads of room so we could all gather around the dining room table and enjoy quality time together. Lovely home! Very clean, we appreciate the hospitality and extra touches very much! Hope to return soon!

My husband and I stayed at this house with another couple (friends) that live out of state. We grew up in the area and were happy to show them around our old stomping grounds, but we also wanted to take in some of the wineries in the area. We went to Herman for Oktoberfest and several wineries in Augusta. The weather wasn't the best, so we spent time at the house too, relaxing and playing some games; we had fun with the foosball table as well! We made dinner one evening and enjoyed the farm pork burgers the owner left for us - delicious! They also left cookies and chocolate as well as a nice note. The house itself had more than enough room for us and learning about the history of the house was great as well. While the house is on five acres it's also still in town and super easy to get anywhere. It was perfect and we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area!
