Stayed Nov 26, 2024Several members of my family met in Corrales for Thanksgiving weekend and stayed in this house. I also have other relatives that live in nearby Rio Rancho. They came over for Thanksgiving dinner at the house. There was plenty of room for all of us. I especially liked the book that had all of the instructions for the house. Some things in the house were a little quirky -- since it's an older house. And the book reflected that. It was a hoot.

Stayed Feb 1, 2024We needed a little getaway, far away from the daily hustle, and this place met all our needs. Quiet, cozy, spatious, mysterious, historic, all at once. This place is magical and imbued with love and soul. Elaine was caring, attentive, and available at all times. She gave recommendations and made us feel ever so welcome. We are looking forward to our next stay here!

Stayed Jan 11, 2024Elaine's place was immaculate and unique - the two things I like best in a getaway. I especially loved all the QR codes throughout the house with videos and narration of the process of building the house, and the personalized welcome video! The space is huge, clean, and full of art and personal touches. We were so pleased with it, and will definitely be back!

Stayed Oct 21, 2023Almost every aspect of this impressive adobe home evokes a Spanish colonial New Mexico ranch house. The interior has formidable solid wood doors and shutters with antique iron hinges and latches. The wood ceilings have long rafters, either intact timbers or shaped beams. Outside, the home has a long adobe wall with rustic wooden gates that enclose a large well-manicured lawn and patio. From the patio, Sandia peak is in full view. The two best times of day for sitting on the patio are with coffee at dawn and with a glass of wine at sunset. Both offer outstanding views of Sandia peak with its array of colors. The same view is available through the large windows in the common room and the master bedroom. In the kitchen and common area are photographs with QR codes that when accessed tell the story of the house and its builders. Accessing these narratives is an absolute must. They provide a familiarity and connection with the home’s builders and owners. The house is only about ½ mile from a major NW Albuquerque artery with a grocery store and restaurants. Even with its proximity to civilization, there is no intrusive noise at the house aside from the occasional rooster crowing. The bedrooms, especially the master, are large with comfortable beds. There is easy access to I-25 and I-40 for exploring different parts of Albuquerque and less than a 1-hour drive to Santa Fe. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and enthusiastically recommend this property. We hope to stay again.
