Patio del Olivo, beautiful carmen in the Albaicín

This hidden gem was our favorite place we stayed in Spain! Air conditioning in every room, a private Courtyard, and the pool helped us stay cool during the hottest days of the year. We cooked at home and easily walked to a number of excellent restaurants. Parking was definitely the most challenging part, but we went to Parking San Cristobal and left our car there almost the whole time (15 a day). The house is well equipped and we were in paradise!

The house is beautiful and comfortables, the host delightful and incredibly helpful (e.g. she helped us carry in our luggage to the house!!!). The location could not be better to explore the Albaicín and the rest of Granada. I hope we have a chance to come back and stay at the Patio del Olivi!

This is one of the best homes we have encountered in our travels. It is better than the photos! It is is a historic neighborhood on pedestrian streets. There is a grocery store and bus routes a couple blocks away. The beds are very comfortable with good pillows and bedding. Maria left us some basic food items and a nice bottle of wine. She has everything in the house you could possibly need. We enjoyed our week stay in the home and enjoyed exploring the neighborhood and trying the many good restaurants nearby. Maria’s recommendations for restaurants was also very helpful. We miss the house and would love to come back to Granada someday. Maria even met our cab at a nearby address to show us to the house. She also arranged for a cab to take us back to the airport and walked with us to the meeting place to ensure we were picked up on time. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My husband and I loved our stay at Patio del Olivos. First, the location was perfect for exploring the charming Albaicin neighborhood and was only a short walk into town. The house itself has lots of character and we especially enjoyed the lovely, serene patio. Our host, María José, was excellent with communication: she gave clear directions to the home, met us, and checked in to make sure all was going smoothly. We also appreciated her recommendations for a little walking tour and dinner nearby. Highly recommend this property!

What an amazing house in the heart of Alta Albaizin. The patio was perfect for drinks and dining, or just a cup of coffee in the morning. This house has everything!

The Carmen house is a dream. Very quiet place in the middle of the Albayzin where life is pulsating. We can strongly recommend this. Maria was a very nice and supportive host.

The house offers lots of amenities in a quiet location not far from most of Granada’s many offerings.The courtyard was spacious with plenty of seating, sun and shade. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and eating. The beds were comfortable. The pellet burning stove kept the whole first floor warm (it was chilly at nite in March). Maria, the owner, was very warm and accommodating and quickly responded to any questions we had. She also helped us navigate Albaicin’s winding alleys and offered suggestions of what to do in each area we visited. One of the most important things the rental offered was a parking space very close to the house but outside the more narrow roads in Albaicin.
