The house was beautiful and the location perfect, however a few experiences made me feel like a nagging renter, which is not what I want to be, EVER, much less on vacation . First, we were initially told there was propane for the grill and it was ready to go, so we went to the store and purchased quite a bit of meat to grill. When we got ready to grill, we discovered both propane bottles were empty . We called and someone brought propane to us, however it delayed cooking a few hours. After hooking up the propane, we learned the grill would not get over 200 degrees and after trying to deal with that for another hour or so , we ended up cooking in an oven which was dirty. We also had a problem with jet tub located in Royal Suite bathroom, the water would not come on at all (very disappointing). On our last night, we lost all water pressure and had to call maintenance for help. It was after 8 pm, we felt awful for having to call someone out so late, however we were all packing and trying to take showers and do laundry in order to catch a flight the next day. Overall we enjoyed our time in the mountains and may visit again one day. Maybe next time the zip lines will not be under maintenance and we will get to enjoy them with the kids like we initially planned for this trip.

We had scheduled a three night stay at the Parkdale Ranch. Upon arrival and walkthrough with a staff member, we noted stains on the carpet and little black flecks on the tile which we later found out were mice feces. The first night we were there we saw two mice running through the kitchen and into the bedrooms, and as we climbed into bed, my husband found mouse poisoning under the pillow and mouse droppings on our bed. We also found that the house was not cleaned well with furniture, cabinets and counters sticky and coated with debris. The next morning we notified the staff of all that we were experiencing. We had brought both of our children with us (5 years and 11 months) and were concerned about our baby crawling on floors with mice poop. Management upgraded us to a larger home for the remainder of our stay. However, the first night we were at the new location called the River Ranch, we found mice again running through the home and woke to mouse feces throughout the house on the floors and on the counters. We also noted the house was dirty and not well maintained. 75% of the dishes were stored soiled and when I say soiled I mean as if you had a steak dinner and then put the dishes and other utensils directly back into the cabinets. We continued to note mouse activity and we vacuumed and tried to clean each day we were there to try and keep our children from getting sick. Staff was notified upon our departure, and they apologized. However, we were never contracted after that and still had to pay the cleaning fee. This was a horrible experience for our family.

My girlfriends and I stayed here for a weekend getaway to celebrate our birthdays. The property was right off the river and we were even able to see it from our train car when we took a ride! It was spacious and very clean. The views of the sunset from the deck were amazing. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and the gas fire pit. We would definitely recommend this property.
