Darling property located conveniently for care at Mayo downtown and shopping/food options.
This house was absolutely lovely. It was comfortable and charming and had everything we needed for a week stay. The pictures are accurate (if not, they don’t do it justice) and the location is super close to Mayo. They say you could walk, and you could, if it wasn’t cold or you didn’t have a disability. It was great having a garage to use because it snowed the first night we were in town IN OCTOBER! The only thing I would change about the house, if I could, would be that there isn’t a bathroom on the main floor. The comfy beds (firm, memory foam), location, and every need met, more than makes up for it!
Comfortable and clean. Great place to stay.
Great, convenient location with just a 10-15 minute walk to the MCC and just driving minutes from Rochester's woonderful variety of restsurants. While the house is an older one, it has been updated very nicely and provided us a pleasant 3-night stay. Our host was top-notch, responsive
We've been staying in Rochester for a year and a half at hotels while getting through appointments and surgeries at Mayo Clinic. We've never felt at home or comfortable. Knowing I had two new surgeries coming, I decided it was time to find some comfort. I scoured reviews and photos on VRBO and kept coming back to this one. I finally booked it and it did not disappoint! So comfortable, clean and close to everything. We are staying again in July and we're so relieved to have a place that feels like a home away from home!
This is a great house. The bed in the main bedroom is comfortable. We didn’t use the second bedroom. The kitchen is nice and the location to Mayo and elsewhere is wonderful. The house is quiet and comfortable. It's important if you're staying here to understand that there is no bathroom on the main floor. The description says the full bathroom is upstairs and the laundry and half bath are downstairs, which can be confusing, making it seem like the downstairs is the main floor. It would be helpful if it said basement so guests know that every time you have to go to the bathroom, you are using stairs. And there are quite a few. Overall, as long as there is no issue with climbing stairs for the bathroom, it's a great place!
My wife and I stayed here in early May. The photos on the site are very accurate. No surprises. The place was clean and comfortable. An added bonus (if you cook) was the non-stick pans were usable unlike some many other places we've stayed. The bed was comfortable.Neighborhood was quite. Location was pretty good and within walking distance to St Marys. Will definitely stay here again.
Well maintained and clean. Very short and ez walk to Charlton area or a quick drive to ramp parking. Didn’t realize bedrooms were upstairs but wasn’t an issue
This beautifully restored home provided a much needed respite as both my husband and I were at Mayo Clinic and Hospital for cancer treatments. The home is cozy, has beautiful woodwork, and makes efficient use of space. The amenities are modern with plenty of storage space, adequate kitchen facilities, and provided with just about everything that was needed for a prolonged stay. Having the garage was handy especially during the historic snowstorm in Rochester. The home is less than .5 mile from the Clinic and my husband was often able to get in his walk to the Clinic and hospital. Jill was so prompt in responding to any question and super nice to work with. We highly recommend this rental for your stay in Rochester. It was a comfort to us.
We would stay again. The beds/furniture were comfortable and the house had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was great. We were thankful for the close proximity to Mayo Clinic (between a 6-9 minute drive depending upon which building we needed to go to.)
This was a nice, clean home to stay in while we visited Mayo. It was about a half mile walk to the Gonda building. The street was pretty quiet. We could hear the occasional train but it was not obtrusive. The owner was quick with communication and flexible when both when we were uncertain about the length of our stay and when we needed to extend. The garage was nice and empty so it was easy to pull in. The pond was nice to watch the squirrels and birds. This is the 4th place we've stayed while visiting Mayo and of the 4 this is the most well balanced. Would note for guests that there is no dishwasher, but this wasn't an issue for us. We would definitely stay here again if we're in the area.
This home was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We appreciated nice touches such as an abundance of USB ports, comfortable couch and recliner, comfortable beds, and blackout curtains in one bedroom. 10 minute walk or drive to Mayo buildings. The backyard was an oasis of calm among busy days of medical appointments.
House was very clean and situated in a walkable neighborhood. (Downtown was only a fifteen minute walk.). Good-sized space.
It was the most comfortable and convenient VRBO we've stayed in yet in Rochester!
This place was amazing. It’s very close to the Mayo Clinic and is a quiet neighborhood. The house and yard are very nicely kept. Would certainly stay there again in the future.
