Stayed Jul 25, 2025Our family of four had a fantastic time at Palmer’s Cottage. The house is very spacious with tons of space to spread out. There are 3 showers (4 total bathrooms) which was super helpful after the group finished up swimming. The property is spacious and well maintained. There is a large dock and shallow water for floating and fun. There are lots of golf options within 25 minutes that was super convenient for us along with a similar distance to Mackinaw. Overall, great experience and would certainly recommend this cottage!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was a good size, clean, and the beds were comfortable. Lots of outside space and a ping pong table! View was great! Nearby bike path was nice.The house was very disorganized. Lots of towels, cleaning equipment, games, etc thrown (literally) in various closets. It was hard to find stuff because of that. Also, the bathrooms are outdated. Not a huge deal, but the showers could use some work. Lake front is not the best for swimming. If you do, bring water shoes! All towns are at least 30 minutes away.

We've been coming to Palmer at least 6 years. We love the view, electric boat lift, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and overall peacefulness we feel while there.

Water on the cool side. First time we’ve been here in June. Pleasant experience. Conveniently located near Mackinac Island, Charlevoix, Traverse City, Boyne. Someplace for everyone. Something to do for everyone. Hope to be back next year.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful property. The home is very outdated and needs attention. We stayed there couple years ago and inside was the same no update, Furniture is more like college dorm room at the end of four years. The TV is a tube tv that cuts off at side because of the format that things are shown today. The beds very very hard. Great Weber grill . Great view. Large kitchen and deck but both umbrellas are in need of replacement.

Loved everything about our stay except that the second floor was a bit dirty under the furniture and on the rugs/carpeting. Other than that - SUPER GOOD!

Property well maintained. Slight problem with tub in master bathroom, tub doesn't drain well. Needs attention. Lake was beautiful. Area had something for everyone to do. Would certainly recommend cottage. Will be back next year.

The cottage is roomy, with a great back yard leading to the lake. It was also a very quiet area. The appliances and furniture are somewhat dated but that is not a big deal. The internet is locked but I was able to use my cell phone as a hot spot. I would stay here again.
