We loved the cottage. It was well equipped and comfortable except for the double bed which was rock hard. We would love to return but couldn’t face another night of sleep deprivation in the bed. A real pity as otherwise it was delightful.

We had a very enjoyable stay. Our only observations would be: 1. Unlike many properties there was nothing to greet us, not even a pint of milk. A welcome pack is really the norm these days. 2. The heating is not controllable on site and is programmed to come on at odd times and at a very low temp. The fire helped boost the comfort but the bathrooms for eg were always cool. A number was provided to ask for the heating to be adjusted but we couldn't be bothered!. This all felt a little penny pinching. 3. Some of the fittings are getting a little tired and cups are chipped for eg. (The hardness of the water also doesn't help keep the bathroom sparkling) Sorry to be a bit picky - we really did enjoy our stay!

A lovely holiday! We will be back - Palgrave Barn provides very comfortable holiday accommodation with quality kitchen and bathroom fittings. Lovely walks from the door in this charming little village. Thank you to the letting company for efficient, polite service.

When we arrived at Palgrave Barn,it was disappointing the rubbish had not been emptied and open frozen food left in the freezer.the standard of cleaning left a lot to be desired, but hopefully rectified after we complained. Burnham Market a great base for exploring the coast. We can recommend the long walk to the beach at Burnham Overy Staithe. Drove Orchard, near Thornham, has a great selection of shops and Eric’s famous fish and chips. Buy fresh mussels at The Fish Shed nearby. It’s worth going to Glandford, St Martins church lovely and the gallery, deli and Art cafe very good. There so many pretty villages along the coast, Blakeney was nice, with a good deli up the high street. We visited Holt and it’s worth doing the ‘Owl Trail’. We caught the steam train there. Cley is very pretty with nice galleries, also Wells on Sea with a great coffee house up the Main Street called Ground Coffee. Lastly the beach at Holkham is fantastic with a look out cafe in the woods.

Palgrave Barn is centrally located in the village of Burnham Market. It is a barn renovation with some excellent features; well designed & equipped kitchen, comfortable beds with quality linen. attractive courtyard, modern bathroom/shower facilities, log burner, Wi-Fi etc - in fact, all the essentials for a good holiday rental. There were some downsides however - the alley leading up to the entrance was quite unkempt, as well as being badly lit which made returning late at night quite difficult. Also the entrance into the barn was directly into the sitting room which resulted in the floor being quite well worn; the sofa and chairs were marked and in need of some TLC and the barn was cold and as a result uninviting. Thankfully the heating issue was rectified after a phone call the next morning -the heating being controlled remotely by the owners. The usual 'welcome pack' at a cottage of this quality and price was lacking. There was no kindling, a small carton of milk and a poor quality supermarket treacle loaf, no coffee, sugar etc, three dishwasher tablets - those small but essential little extras which are very welcoming gestures and give an indication as to the quality of the property and the level of service on offer. A lovely barn in many ways but would we return ? Unfortunately not.

A very imaginative conversion of what was two quite small barns into a very comfortable holiday let. In fact if storage wasn't a problem we could quite happily live there permanently.

We loved Palgrave Barn. It was a very clever conversion done to a high standard. Super fitted and equipped kitchen. Our stay was during a very wet and cold November and, for us, the panel heaters were insufficient. We were disappointed not to have been able to adjust them at source. Happy to use the log burner to supplement heating during an evening, but during the day the barn was cold.

We love staying at Palgrave Barn. This was our third stay and as always we had a great time. It is well equipped and a lovely place to spend time relaxing. The location in the centre of Burnham Market is great and in October we never struggle to find somewhere close by to park. If I were to pick up on any negative points it would be the lack of attention to detail when it comes to the provision of the usual necessities in the property. It was great to be provided with a pint of milk and we appreciated the cupcakes, but one of the bathrooms didn't have hand soap and only had one virtually finished roll of toilet paper. Also no kindling for the wood fire. Other than that it was perfect and we will return to Palgrave Barn again.
