Outer Banks house with private pool, hot tub, W/D & ocean view - dog-friendly

The house was as described and we enjoyed our time there. The pool was wonderful. I didn’t realize at the time when we booked that the decks did not have outdoor stairs connecting each floor. I didn’t realize how much I would miss that until not having it. Upon arrival the house was exactly what we expected and were hoping for. But that’s where it ends. The WiFi was practically nonexistent. We couldn’t be connected in order for anything to load or work. We realized within 24 hours that the grill was not working. There were no cleaning tools for the grill so no one was cleaning it and because it was so gunked up it wouldn’t light. While the igniter was bad, I get it that happens, we had to have someone come out and actually clean it since we had nothing to clean it with. The folllwing day re realized the dryer was not drying. The heating element was more than likely bad. They NEVER sent someone out to address this despite my repeated messages about it. Considering we packed with the plan in mind that we could and would be doing laundry. Which we couldn’t do, as everything had to air dry. So we were extremely limited. After it had been clear with 2 days of messages and the dryer being unresolved, we never even bothered to contact them again about the issues with the fridge in the kitchen. The door shelves would not stay connected despite removing items and only having nothing or light items in them. We ended up with one broken glass bottle as a result of these while everyone was barefoot in the kitchen. The chances of booking with Vacasa again are extremely low after this experience.

Kid could have gotten hurt - [ ] All floors were dirty and felt like sand on them- [ ] TVs in bedrooms not working properly. - [ ] Patio window facing street was not cleaned- [ ] Ice maker and water dispenser on the refrigerator in the kitchen was not working. - [ ] Coffee pots were dusty and not wiped off- [ ] Coffee cups were bad. Looked like someone used a pencil on the inside of them. - [ ] Pots/pans a lot of them were old and some were not cleaned properly or not at all. - [ ] Some of The plastic ware needs to be thrown out. - [ ] Sofas are old and very difficult to get out of. - [ ] Shower head on 3rd floor bedroom needs to be changed. Very old. - [ ] Toilet downstairs was not cleaned urine on the back of the seat. - [ ] Ceiling fans was not clean. - [ ] There was mouse feces in a twin bunkbed- [ ] Bugs were found on the first floor. - [ ] Light in 3rd floor bedroom toilet room is constantly blinking. - [ ] Security lock was jammed or something like that. Maintenance had to give us a key versus code entry. - [ ] All Trash cans were filthy

Location, house and amenities were great!

Sandy furniture, lights out in the kitchen, needs cutting boards and sharp knives would be nice

So close to the beach! You can see and hear the waves from the deck. Relaxing time of day with a coffee or drink. Central location to see the sights north or take the ferry further south. Will definitely be back!

Great location - looking forward to next year....

We loved the location of Mas Tequila ! The beach access is across the street. Very convenient! The kitchen was well stocked- with a very large table for our family to enjoy meals together. There were many getaway places in the house to get some quiet time after a full day! Our family loved the pool- it’s a good size and great for playing games. The house has a good layout and good for a crowd. The house is showing some age, but was very clean- that says it all! We hope to return!

The house was lovely! Big and spacious. Location perfect, close to the beach and vistas abounded. The 4 star instead of 5 is simply because there needs to be some pool surface repair. Uneven concrete caused a trip and an all to close call of a toddler falling into the pool. ( yes we were there and she was in a life vest, but scary none the less).

Perfect for big families! The pool, game room, outdoor showers and location to the beach were amazing! The view from the top floor will take your breath away! We loved our time at Mas Tequila and will book again! Just a few things I would suggest. Bring extra bath towels, sharp kitchen knives and your own spices. For some reason I thought the kitchen had a spice rack. All together it was pretty perfect!!

Close walking distance to 2 beach entrances, great pool and big bedrooms with bathrooms. We have stayed here 3 times and it's a perfect house for a lot of people. The elevator is a convenient thing to have for arrival and departure packing and unpacking! Love it!
