Original House, Private Dock On Lake, Near Public Boat Landing.

Great value - clean and nice and on the water. The boat ramp is just around the corner, and we could tie up the boat right at the house.

Property is beautiful. I wanted to let others know there is no yard and the parking is 2 cars only, stacked one infront of the other (not side by side). Also, do not try to look for this place or any other place in this area at night. There is no cell phone reception so make sure to screenshot directions 30 mins out. This place is 2 level. The 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath are upstairs and the kitchen and access to back area is downstairs. The stairs are steep and is not safe for a toddler. I had my 20 month old grandson and the house is not baby proof. We did enjoy our stay and it had everything you could possibly need. It’s just not safe for littles. The fishing deck was not attached to the land and the stone stairs outside are steep. Just a heads up. Again, it’s great for teenagers and adults.

When we arrived and walked in, the place had not been cleaned after previous guests. we called and explained the situation. They were very apologetic and we were offered several alternatives, but with 2 dogs, options are limited. They had 3 cleaners there within 1/2 hour and quickly had it cleaned and ready. Bev checked back with us to make sure we were satisfied and offered a complimentary meal at the Lakes End Cafe and Grill. The food was amazing! The outside property could be cleaned up a bit - dock a kayaks could use a power wash- the view on the lake is beautiful! we would recommend this property to others and if we are ever in the area again , would use it again. We had a wonderful stay. The house is perfectly organized and set up for our family. The rock stairway down to the dock and lake is magical. We will return ASAP!

We had a great stay at Lake Nantahala! The house is super charming and perfectly located. It’s not one of those sleek new builds—it’s rustic, but full of character, and we absolutely loved that about it. Everything was very clean, and the listing description was spot on.The dock is fantastic, and having access to the canoe was a game changer—we spent so much time out on the water. The Wi-Fi worked well all week—not blazing fast, but good enough for web browsing and email. We even got to introduce our kids to the magic of VHS tapes and the hardships of the '80s and '90s—so fun!Only downside was check-in. The address provided was incorrect, and there’s no cell reception in the area to contact the owner. We ended up having to drive to the Marina (the only spot with internet nearby) to get help. Heads up if you're arriving late or in bad weather.There was also a storm that knocked out power for about 6 hours and the internet for 24, but honestly, it didn’t bother us. This is the kind of place where you go to disconnect, enjoy nature, and spend quality time with family. We’d absolutely go back!

Great location for our event. Great communication with the owner. Very out dated furniture and rugs. Place had a very strong musty/moldy smell that caused us all to be stuffy and sneezing frequently. I would not choose to stay here again.
