Stayed Apr 3, 2024Property was just what we needed however I didn’t give the house 5 stars in cleanliness because previous guest(s) left the filter in the coffee pot and that makes you wonder if there was something else not clean. But over all great place and location!

Stayed May 25, 2023Unfortunately during our stay at the Corolla Beach the weather was miserable, raining and windy. The jacuzzi was a great place to relax, but otherwise we didn’t get to enjoy more. The house is clean and very comfortable. I wish there was a coffee filters for the coffee in the morning and more toilet paper.

Stayed Apr 4, 2022We had three adults and eight kids ages from eighteen years to twenty two months . Plenty room for all of us. Great house very nice, and well taken care of. Every thing you need in the kitchen. Lots of bikes for the kids to ride. Close to the beach, we found something to do everyday. But the best was driving on the beach seeing the horses by the beautiful ocean. Another wonderful view to thank the Lord for!!!

Stayed May 7, 2021We loved our stay at One Grand Whim! It was an easy short walk to the beach for my three-year-old and my parents in their seventies. The kitchen is packed with everything you might need for any kind of meal. We came in the off-season (the week before pools opened) but there was still plenty to do - basketball, tennis, volleyball, shuffleboard, bike-riding, indoor swimming, and gym. We have already decided we'll be back! I would suggest mentioning the beach supplies at the house. There are more beach chairs and bikes than any one family would need. There are several beach umbrellas, three/four boogie boards, a couple skim boards, and sand toys. This is an attractive peice of information and had we known, we would have saved a few hundred dollars in rental gear.

Stayed Apr 18, 2021This house was more than I imagined. It was spacious, clean and a great location. It was in a resort complex so you get access to all the resort amenities. It was a short walk to the beach and the house had beach chairs, toys etc to borrow. There was bikes for the kids to ride. The owners were also super nice and checked in via text while there and as we were leaving which I thought was nice. We will definitely be coming back!

Stayed Sep 28, 2019On arrival the first thing I discovered was noticibly soiled undergarments in the drawer in the master bedroom, secondly I notice ant bait on the windowsill in the kitchen. we battled with the ants the entire week. the dining room table was their focus. It didn't bother me but my sister and the kids would leave the table mid meal. We saw and killed 1 roach . The walls needed a good cleaning , there were spiders in all the corners and spider webs , especially the half bath off the living room which I cleaned myself. Midweek a leak started from the ceiling of the carport, we left a message but never heard back . There was plenty of plates but terribly short on small spoons and had to run the dishwasher more often because of the lack of forks and spoons. The pans were pretty bad the non stick finish gone on one and the rest the handles were loose and the pans were bent and uneven . The day after we got back they called and left a message there were issues. I spent the night thinking about what possibly could be wrong. the things they came up with had nothing to do with the leak or the other things I thought they were going to blame us for. Like the tv screen someone in the past had scratched up in the bunkbed room. they said we damaged a door frame and broke one of the deck chairs. So if you stay here I suggest you look everything over very well and take pictures of any existing damage. The 15 and 8 year old may have broke the chair, they spent a lot of time on the deck on the hammock. the door frame however was in my 34 year old sons bathroom and he says was already broken and shoddily repaired . I guess we get to pay anyway. We had a great vacation despite the house Corolla is a great place to stay because it's close to so many sights and the horses. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool and the beach is easy walking distance .

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Clean, spacious, appliances all in working order, quiet neighborhood, everything needed for a great time. Marvelous hot tub! Could have had a few more items such as 2-3 garbage bags and dish soap till we could make it to the store, but those are very minor issues. Overall we had wonderful time and will certainly come back...

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had 5 rowdy kids and 4 adults and it was perfect. Plenty of space, a 5 min walk to the beach and still could hear the ocean from the house. Super quiet area and everything at the house that you could want! Will be back!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969No exaggeration, the rental home was in a poor state of repair and very unclean, especially in the kitchen and dining area. The dishes, flatware, and place mats were filthy, and the sticky grime on the dining table was disgusting. Flatware in the drawer actually had something on it that looked like barbecue sauce. Ants climbed all over us when we sat at the table. Dust on the bedroom furniture and the smeared streaks on the windows only amplified our sense that the place was unclean. We did not dare to use the hot tub based upon this impression. Water pressure on the middle floor was poor in all showers, and the hall bath drains poorly. The toilet bowl in the half bath on the second floor rocks back and forth. The top floor master had black grime all along the caulking between the vertical panels and the tub. The A/C was leaking through the ceiling in the carport beneath the house. The outdoor furniture needs to be power washed. The middle floor smelled of mildew, and the first floor rear master bath had a loose handle and the water could not be adjusted. Cobwebs were prevalent throughout the living area. Several window coverings were broken as well as the gas fireplace screen. The A/C was especially cold on the first sleeping floor and extra blankets would have been nice. There are rust stains running down the front of the property in many places where the paint has worn away and the nail heads are rusting. Only one trash bag was provided in the common area for 5 days...come on. The community was excellent, the location is exceptional, and the community amenities were fantastic, The agency was in constant communication, very accessible. The check in process and the pre-communications were great. Would definitely rent in Corolla Light again, but not this property. The house has lots of room and was relatively easy to use. The overall rating is made up or a 1 for cleanliness and state of repair, a 5 for location/process/common facilities, and a 3 for overall usefulness of the house.
