On the Wine Trail - Minutes to Giant City, Shawnee Forest, SIU - Amazing Shower

Loved the coziness and comfort. A few minutes walk to a nice trail and in the center of a quiet and quaint small town. Mr. Young is one of the best hosts that I have had the pleasure of working with and we are repeat customers. Would definitely stay again.

Steve was very helpful and super responsive. The area itself left a little to be desired, but we didn’t choose this place for the neighborhood. It was a short drive to some awesome hikes, beautiful scenery, and nice wineries. It was clean, cozy, and well stocked. We’ll be back!

This place is wonderful! The host is super nice. It's very clean and comfortable. The outdoor patio area was great for relaxing and enjoying the weather. We had an amazing stay! Would definitely recommend.

It was really nice just like the pictures. Loved the shower and it was so close to the wedding venue we could walk. We truly enjoyed our stay and how you sent us all the information so quickly. We truly enjoyed our stay.

The host was very accommodating, fit us in last minute which gave us more time to see the sites. The beds were so comfy and the bathroom was a dream for a rental. Lots of room to spread out. The proximity to the Wine trail was a big plus after hiking all day we could visit close to our stay!

Very nice house, comfortable beds, enjoyed the family room great place to play games and visit with friends. A little hard to locate exact house would recommend that the listing advise that the correct apartment is located on the back of the property.

We enjoyed the proximity to the vineyards, Shawnee Forest, and SIU campus. Having a very nice bourbon bar close by was also a plus. We enjoyed being able to relax in comfort after an active day

Vrbo is nice to stay briefly.Located on main intersection so traffic is all around.The patio was right out close to road so definitely no privacy while grilling or enjoying a bottle of wine.Could have used an umbrella as well.Host was available and entry was easy.Worth mentioning the only bathroom is up 19 stairs.Overall home was clean and nicely decorated

We wanted a good central location for our time in wine country. This place was perfect…and we were able to check out several Wineries during our stay.

We had the most incredible stay at the Red House on the Alto Pass Wine Trail for Thanksgiving! From the moment we arrived, check-in was seamless, and the host was absolutely amazing—so kind, responsive, and available for anything we needed.The house itself was charming and cozy, with everything we could have asked for. And the town? Quaint, picturesque, and brimming with charm,it felt like stepping into a storybook!This stay made our holiday extra special, and we can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect getaway!

Everything was very nice! Beautiful bathroom, but it was made for tall people. At 5'2, I could not see my face in the mirror, nor could I reach the shower head to change settings.

Loved the home! Bed was SO comfy and the shower was amazing! Must go see the Bald Knob Cross if you visit! We will be back!!

Enjoyed our stay. The property is so fresh, clean and just perfect. Better than the pics in the listing. The host responds immediately to any requests. It could not have been better. We will definitely stay again!!

Perfect basecamp for exploring Shawnee National Forest. Host was friendly and responsive. Public trail across the street was a great way to start the day.

The inside of the property is nice mostly. Light switches are a bit confusing and some seemed to do nothing. A lot of light bulbs were missing. There is no outdoor area worth using. The patio chairs have huge holes in them and the grill did not work.
