On the Payette River - beauty, comfort, gourmet kitchen

House was perfect and views were stunning!

Everything was fantastic! Everything has been considered. There are wonderful, clear instructions for everything. We loved sitting on the deck every day and having coffee looking at the river and listening to the birds. It's close to town, but not too close. In a really nice neighborhood. Even better in person! It's very evident that this is someone's warm and well designed home. I'd give it 10 starts if I could. So grateful! I'd book again and again!

We absolutely LOVED our stay. The home was well-appointed with great attention to detail. From the custom floor tiles to the thoughtful decor, and everything you might need for a home away from home, and just a short drive from downtown. The kitchen was very well stocked. In fact, we had fun trying to find items they didn't have, but nope, they had EVERYTHING! Coffee, cocktails and dinners on the deck were sublime. We were also treated to an epic thunderstorm while we cozied up on the covered deck. We will definitely be back!

Extremely well-stocked cabin in a quiet neighborhood close to everything. Plenty of room and a great deck overlooking the river. We saw osprey hunt, deer and fawns, and a bear across the river. We have stayed in various rental properties in McCall every summer for 30 years, and this is one of the top cabins our family has stayed in. Highly recommend. Hosts are very responsive and have thought of many extras to include to make your stay great.

Fabulous house that was very comfortable for our family and fully stocked. I like to cook and the kitchen had every utensil we needed. Great location in a quiet neighborhood--perfect for stroller walks with our grandson. We spent a lot of time on the large back porch watching the river and wildlife. Highly recommend and would definitely book again. Host was responsive and accommodating.

This was our first VRBO experience and we could NOT have made a better choice! After initially booking with a different property, we discovered that the pictures vs descriptions were vastly different and reviews from previous guests supported our discovery. :( After cancelling that VRBO and then pivoting to our booking with Ken and Valerie's property- we knew we made the best decision right from our very first communications with them. They made themselves available for every question this nervous bride-to-be had, and went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information we needed. From the first step in the door, my family and friends from Ohio (some of which had never been to Idaho) were literally awestruck with not only the detailed beauty of the home, but the porch that overlooks the gorgeous Payette River. We enjoyed the space so much that we cancelled all of our week's dinner reservations in McCall and cooked homemade meals in the gourmet kitchen. As a biologist that works with birds we spend almost every waking moment on the porch birding, and loved the surprise visits of deer crossing the river in the morning mist with their fawns, and 3 handsome young bucks that would graze in the bushes on the rivers edge. We were over the moon to know that we could provide an unforgettable experience for our friends and family that will be talked about for years to come. Thank you Ken and Valerie! ~Heather and Adam

Beautiful and well maintained home! Super comfortable for our large family! Gorgeous view from the large deck! Close access to everything fun in McCall! We will return for sure!
