Bring your bike and enjoy long rides through the Sequim Dungeness Valley where lavender fields dot the landscape, mountains rise up before you and bald eagles soar over the sea. The famous Dungeness Spit, one of the world's longest natural sand spits is next door and within easy walking distance from the cottage. Enjoy hiking on the west side of the spit and experiencing the richness of sea birds, shore birds and mammals in their natural habitat on the inner protected harbor of the National Wildlife Refuge. Harbor seals are known to come up on the beach to rest and even the occasional Orca whale can be seen swimming off the Spit.

If you love to golf, the famous Cedars at Dungeness is located just minutes away and also has two wonderful restaurants featuring seafood and steaks along with an extensive beer, wine and cocktail menu. Bring the kiddos and take a drive through the wild at the Olympic Game Farm filled with American Buffalo, elk, zebras, bears and even a tiger or two. Kids will have the pleasure of feeding the animals up close and personal from your car door window as you drive through the park. An experience loved by both young and old.

If you want to get out on the water, bring your own kayaks or rent one at John Wayne Marina. Great selection of kayaks, SUP boards and small watercraft for exploring Sequim Bay. Downtown Sequim's coffee houses, local restaurants and shopping are just 15 minutes from the cottage. The downtown area is often bustling with locals and tourists alike enjoying weekly art walks, farmer's markets, outdoor dining, gift shops, museum, and local theater productions.

Further adventures into the Olympic National Park are just a day's trip away. Hurricane Ridge, the closest entrance, is just 35 minutes away. Lake Crescent and Sol Duc Hot Springs can be reached within 45 min to 1.25 hours from the cottage and the Hoh Rain Forest and Pacific coastline beaches can be reached within a 2.5 - 3 hour drive.

Arrive back at the Olympic View Cottage and soak up the peaceful serenity around you. Located on five acres, the cottage also backs up to a wonderful cedar forest perfect for exploring. The perfect cottage for seeking a much needed respite from the business of life.

Only 50 minutes from Olympic National Park, where you can drive up to Hurricane Ridge for spectacular views and an easy hike at the top.

Around 6 Minutes from Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge, a well-loved area for walking along the sandy beach. For the super-fit, walk 11 miles round trip to visit the lighthouse.

Very comfortable and clean home. It was a great base for visiting the area. Located in a rural farming type area that is very quiet and peaceful. Beds are very comfy. Would rent again

We fell in love with this property! The view of ONP was just breathtaking to see every time we looked out the windows. Deer roamed around the property day and night! The house was clean and had everything we hoped it to be! The property was near Dungeness Spit and it was just the perfect place to walk/hike nearby. We can't wait to return!

This house is in a great location for hiking the Dungeness area of Sequim. No car needed, go up the hill and turn left! The view from the house is superb - the Olympic Mountains were still snow covered, and shined in the springtime (late March) sunlight every morning. The house is comfortable and in a good location for visiting the northern Olympic peninsula.

Gorgeous view, exceptionally clean, the kitchen was well stocked except for there was a keurig but only 1 pod for the two of us for 5 days. They required us to wash the towels but there was no detergent. But overall lovely would stay again!

The location is amazing: quiet road, beautiful views, and a short drive to Dungeness Spit, Sequim, and Hwy 101. The house is clean with spacious rooms, big windows, and high quality furnishings. We would gladly stay there again.

Super quiet, clean, and relaxing place and an easy drive to activities in the northern part of Olympic national park. Hurricane ridge, lake crescent, etc all within 45-50 min. Dungeness spit extremely close. An overall great stay.

The house was roomy and comfortable. The king sized bed was excellent. Deer were peering into the windows as we had morning coffee. The view of the Olympic Mountains was stunning. Well stocked kitchen - we had a plumbing leak in the kitchen that was addressed immediately. We loved being to return and relax after a day of exploring.

My 20-year-old daughter and I enjoyed our stay at the Olympic View Cottage for three nights. Check in was seamless and everything was done via email. It was so fun to wake in the morning to find a small herd of deer in the back yard! The house was well appointed, clean and super comfortable. We loved being able to wash our clothes after several difficult hikes. The house was fairly close to some of the hikes we went on and was also close to Port Angeles where we took a boat out for whale watching. We had a few cloudy days and a few sunny days. It is so beautiful when you can see the mountains for miles! I would definitely recommend this house as a place to stay near the Sequim area. You won't be disappointed.

This is a lovely little cottage with a spectacular view. I spent every morning and every evening just sitting in a chair watching the colors change over the mountains. It also had one of the nicer, more functional kitchens that I've seen in rentals. We mostly eat in due to allergies and dietary restrictions, so a good kitchen is a must. The Dungeness refuge next door is a huge benefit. It's a quick walk down the lane and into the refuge for some nice walking paths and beautiful views over the bluff. We would happily stay here again.

This was a gorgeous property and a wonderful spot on a hill overlooking the mountains. The place is so quaint and peaceful with deer outside nearly every morning. The landlords were great and very informative.

The location was right next to a state park. That was fun for the kids. Good location for going to the olympics. Nice and clean and a good selection of spices and pans for cooking breakfasts.
