Located only 3 minutes away from Sequim's downtown shops and restaurants, it sits around an active duck pond habitat that offers a countryside feel and plenty of outdoor space to picnic, relax and soak in the sun. Be part of history and see for yourself what it was like to live in an actual railroad caboose. They are perfect for family trips, romantic getawaysand mini breaks from the big city's everyday life.

While Olympic Railway Inn feels just the right amount of secluded, you are still only 2 miles away from local grocery stores and shopping. Jardin du Soleil Lavender Farm is only 5 miles out and is next to Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge, that is home to over 250 species of endangered birds, fish and mammals. Dungeness Spit is one of the longest natural spits in the world. In addition to its own natural beauty, it is a great spot for bird watching. While you are staying at the Inn, be sure to check out Olympic Discovery Trail that is located just steps away from cabooses. The route spans around 135 miles between Port Townsend and La Push on the Pacific Coast. As of 2021, 90 miles of the trail have been developed into a complete path. Besides the rail cars, your kids will have a blast exploring the Olympic Game Farm, a drive-through wildlife exhibit, where animals come right up to your vehicle! The Inn is equidistant from the Victorian Seaport of Port Townsend to the East and Port Angeles, gateway to the Olympic National Park and Pacific Coast beaches, to the West. Take a short ferry ride from Port Angeles and visit a foreign country- Canada, there’s so much to see and do!

After a great day of exploring, return to the most unique lodging on the peninsula, private cabooses at Olympic Railway Inn, complete with tubs to soothe your aches from all the day's adventures. Being only 30 minutes away from northern entrance of Olympic National Park, the Inn is your perfect stop on the way to/back from the park and it offers a not-so-distant weekend escape to relax, recharge and be one with nature.
Hop onboard our western themed caboose and take a ride on the wild side. Keep a weathered eye on the horizon for greedy bad guys from the height of our cupola lookout cowhide seats. Travel back in time through saloon batwing doors and find yourself soaking in an antique 1910 claw foot tub. This good ol train car has seen a few gunshots back in the days but now it offers such comforts as an electric fireplace, a flatscreen TV with a DVD player, a mini fridge and a coffee maker. The front of the rail car has a small bar-style table and a queen bed.

Very charming and unique place to stay! If you are looking for something different this would be the place. We stayed in the Western train car and the decor was very fitting. Bed was comfortable, big claw foot old fashioned tub, and lots of charming details including old Western movie DVDs! Highly recommend.

It was great! The location was quiet and felt very honey, despite being a train car. The theme was cute and the bathtub was amazing ? Everything was very clean and tidy and I had no issues checking in or out.

Delightfully quirky with lots of authentic old west details. The air conditioning was a little hard to figure out but it was very comfortable.

This was so much fun. The property was extremely comfortable and even better than it looked online. The owners clearly put so much into every detail and it was like a was really transported to the old west, but with air conditioning! I want to come back and stay in every different theme, but I can’t imagine any of them being better than this one.
