Old Post Office - Fam/Pet/EV Friendly in wild and wonderful Canaan Valley, WV!

We really loved this rental! It was the perfect place to stretch out and relax after skiing at the nearby ski areas! The house had everything we needed, the furniture and beds were all comfortable, and the historic character of the house is quite charming. Hoping we can come back next year for a longer stay! Mostly I appreciated the communications from the host, James. Questions were promptly and thoroughly answered and he provided good info as we navigated an incoming snowstorm!

House was warm and welcoming. Kitchen was really well equipped. Host was communicative and easy to engage.

Adorable and cozy spot where we felt both far away and close to everything in the Canaan Valley. We had a great time, and the host was incredibly welcoming and responsive. Will definitely be back!

Very old building (I believe we read that it was constructed in 1856) with character. Nicely remodeled/ updated interior. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed the fire pit and the sound of the creek, as well as the proximity to state parks. Good communication from owner. Would recommend.

First time using a VRBO. Overall a great experience. No complaints however the steps to the yard below were a little worrisome.

Great place to rent!

I stayed at this home for three months during a travel contract and it was the absolute most perfect place for my dog and I. We were far enough away from the bustling of town, but within 15 minutes from multiple resorts and 25 minutes away from town making it the perfect stay for us. The views around the property itself were beautiful, hikes within minutes at Canaan valley, and a beautiful covered porch for quiet nights of reading. Jake, the property manager was so kind throughout my entire stay, and remained available via phone for anything I needed during my time there. I will definitely returning again to visit in this place that felt so much like my own home.

We loved the location of the old post office. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and baking needs. It was a very unique property and we would love to visit again.

We had to cut our trip short due to a snow/wind storm. Due to the location far from a main road, I was worried that if trees came down or power got cut it would be an issue so left early. The house was very clean and well stocked and having a large bathroom downstairs was great. Some of the floors definitely creak.

We had a wonderful time at this mountain house. The setting was so peaceful, and the sound of the running water in the backyard stream was soothing. We greatly appreciated that pets were welcome. We would definitely stay here again!
