Cozy log lodge, perfect for multi-families, hunting parties and outdoor enthusiasts. Minutes from Maverick Mtn Ski Park, Elkhorn Hot Springs, and Beaverhead National Forest in the Pioneer Mountains. Perfect for bicycling, hiking, sled (snowmobiles) fishing, hunting, skiers. This charming lodge, originally built in 1948 is a 2 acre lot, with Grasshopper Creek right in the back yard. Enjoy the short drive to Bannack Ghost Town, Clark Canyon Reservoir, Big Hole National Battlefield, or even a longer day trip to Yellowstone National Park. And there's nothing better to come back to enjoy a dunk in the hot tub and the fire pit with s'mores next to the creek. Great amenities, such as a large indoor hot tub, sauna, wood stove, as well as a gas fireplace, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and much more! Our lodge is our "little" slice of Heaven, our happy place, the quintessential cabin in the woods, and we love that we get to share it with all of you!

Nice house but not very clean dog hair everywhere. We had to clean for us. Older house but in decent shape yet.
We thoroughly enjoyed this spacious log house. The property is awesome and our stay was very comfortable. The house and surrounding area has many great amenities.
We had the most fantastic time here and having our family all together.
My wife and I stayed at this cabin/lodge with our border collie for our third wedding anniversary in September 2022. I’m a firm believer in honest reviews. So, let’s start off with the good things. If you are looking to unplug from your devices this is the place to do it. You lose cell phone service completely when you are still about 20 miles from the lodge. This cabin and the property that it sits on are absolutely gorgeous. There are multiple rooms, and every room has its own bathroom attached to it. The owners have done a great job making the cabin itself cozy with lots of board games, puzzles, and streaming services available. The drive to get there is beautiful, and there are so many cool places to travel too that are nearby. The Crystal Park where you can dig up naturally formed crystals. The Coolidge Ghost Town. This is probably the coolest ghost town I have ever been too because it hasn’t been historically preserved. You can literally see nature reclaiming this town for herself. Bannack State Park is also close by with its own ghost town although we did not go there. The owner is very responsive to communications and the check in instructions are detailed and accurate. Do heed their warning when they say to fill up your car’s gas tank in Dillion or on I-15. There is no gas for 40 miles in any direction of this cabin. Okay now for the not so good portions of our stay. First, VRBO’s advertising campaign slogan is, “So it’s always just you and your people.” That’s not the case with this property. There is a permanent resident who lives above the cabin. The owner assured me that we would have no contact and that most people don’t even realize that he and his dog are there. And that’s true. The only time we ever knew he was there was when his dog barked at some wildlife in the middle of the night, but our own dog was barking too so no big deal. Also, there is a small one room cabin on this property that is listed separately from the lodge on VRBO. So, you may find yourself sharing the property with others. Second, the house was very well-kept, but I wouldn’t call it clean. All the windows were quite dingy, there were large dust bunnies of dog hair (not from our dog) in areas of the floor. There were also lots of cobwebs in the corners up by the ceiling and down by the floor. The pots and pans in the kitchen were also not as clean as they could be they all had a layer of film on them, so we found ourselves washing the pots and pans both before
This cabin was beautiful located in the perfect area with trees and a creek behind the cabin. Perfect location for hiking and side by side and also fishing. Caretaker was very friendly and quiet. Bathroom floors could of used a sweep job but other then that everything else was perfect. I would definitely stay again as we had so much fun and it was VERY replacing. Kids enjoyed the hot tub and having their own rooms.
The property location was really great, easy to get to things. The property itself was fun - the creek out back and and side deck with the picnic table made it easy to enjoy the outdoors. There were many bathrooms, bedrooms and large living spaces that worked well for our large group. Plenty of room. The owner was super great about communication with us and very accommodating with any request. It is an older cabin/lodge that warm, cozy feel with the logs and tongue and groove inside. My only concerns were the cleanliness and kod-friendliness. The cleanliness was okay, fair amount of dog hair on the floors. Dogs are allowed as guests too, but thought it migh'tve been cleaner between guests. As for kid-friendly, specifically references toddlers and babies. There were a lot more items in the home that could easily be grabbed, so we were constantly having to watch our kids and make sure they were grabbing things. Outside as well there a lot of trailers and equipment stored, so we had to be careful with watching our kids outside and making sure they weren't getting into that stuff. Overall is was a nice little property and the location just the best of all! We enjoyed our time while there.
