Stayed Aug 9, 2025We really enjoyed the lovely house and beautiful property — it was convenient to everything in Chatham and the hosts were very helpful and responsive. We really appreciated that they promptly helped us fix a minor issue. We would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Jul 26, 2025The house was amazing, deemed as the best vacation on the cape yet. That is saying a lot, we've been vacationing on the cape for years. The house had everything you need and then some! The yard was like a playing field, our dog, Daisy, had a great vacation as well. Lots of yard to roam and plenty of smells to investigate.Emenities were over the top, everything you need was there and very spacious.Communication was perfect and timely as needed.

Stayed Jul 28, 2024Beautiful property located walking distance to the beach and downtown. Robert and Ellen are wonderful hosts - so responsive and accommodating. My dog loved the big back yard - plenty of space to run and play outside or just sit and enjoy the view. It was the perfect getaway to unplug and enjoy time with my family. We had an amazing time, we will definitely be back soon!

Stayed Aug 20, 2022Our family of four had a wonderful week at this lovely home. Walked down the short path to the rocky overlook each morning to enjoy the view, walked down the road to the beach and town, kayaked at Oyster Pond, and biked on the rail trail that runs from Chatham to Wellfleet. The house itself was perfect for us and our two adult children. My husband and I loved the spacious master suite. We also loved the sun porch and huge lawn, plus the organic garden where we helped ourselves to delicious tomatoes. We did not use the downstairs bedroom with the daybed because the main entrance/exit from the house (that has the code to lock/unlock the house) opens onto that room, so the room felt more like an entryway to us. This wasn’t a problem for us because our kids were happy in the two upstairs bedrooms. A minor issue was that the king-sized bed in the MBR is actually two twins pushed together, making a divide in the middle which my husband and I didn’t love. But other than that, we enjoyed everything about this house, especially the sense of history and the excellent location. Robert was also very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Aug 25, 2020The home is perfectly situated on close to an acre of exceptionally well kept and cared for land in a perfect location. The house is extremely well kept and equipped with everything you might need for a long stay. This was extraordinarily helpful given the pandemic and restrictions on local dining. It is an easy walk to town and the lighthouse area which alleviates parking issues and makes for great morning walks. Overall a very pleasant and relaxing stay.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had a family of eight, representing three generations. Thus, we found the large living room a great common room in which to talk, read, and play with our infant grandchild. In addition, the room overlooking the gardens providing additional space for reading and watching television. The dining table, which sat 8 or 10 comfortably was an asset when we had friends visit for a dinner. We ate twice at Chatham Bars Inn, which is only two blocks a way, went on a marvelous sailboat ride out of Wequassett, enjoyed a seal watch boat ride in Chatham harbor, and arranged for cooked lobster from the Chatham fish pier, only a few blocks away. We also walked into town every morning and had coffee on the way, and most of us participated in Yoga on the beach at Lighthouse beach every morning. Several of us enjoyed the shopping in Chatham , which has unique shops, etc. The children especially enjoyed the beach, which is a National Preservation site located beyond Lighthouse beach.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Our family and friends (Six Adults and Two Children) absolutely loved our experience staying at the Briggs House. We'd stayed at the Chatham Bars Inn in 2015, and wanted room for friends and more value so we ventured here. Coming from NYC, my three year old was thrilled with the football field of grass out back and we loved being able to walk to the center of town, multiple beaches and the Chatham Bars Inn Resort. As said in another review, this is a family home, its not appointed like a rental. It felt much more like having your favorite aunt/uncle allow you a week at at their Cape House. Robert couldn't have been better to deal with. We will definitely be back
