Oceanfront Property in La Jolla

The property was exactly what our family needed for spring break. A comfortable, convenient and beautiful place to stay while in San Diego. Thank you.

Amazing view We had to caught our flight at 3am so was happy not to have to do sheets before leaving.

In general, this property was adequate and met our basic needs of a safe, clean place to sleep and eat. I would rate this 5 stars, if the primary suite bed and couch were more comfortable. My husband and I both ended up sleeping on the daybed and trundle in the primary suite because the queen bed is so uncomfortable. Those mattresses are still not the best, but the queen bed is extremely firm and you can feel the springs in it. Had we realized before our last night that the other room has a very comfortable mattress, we would've swapped rooms with our child. The couch is more like patio furniture than a comfy place to lounge, but for the most part, we were out and about and didn't spend too much time looking for cozyness. The location of this rental cannot be beat! The small deck overlooks Windansea Beach and the stairs down to the rocks and sand are steps away. The sand is soft and the water is chilly, but crystal clear. If we weren't on the beach or walking into town, we were taking in the views of the waves, surfers, sunsets and people watching. There are a few restaurants and cafes a few blocks away. The seals and sea lions are just over a 1.5 mile walk along the beach and winding through some neighborhoods. We appreciated the on-site laundry, beach towels and beach chairs that were available. While this isn't a pristinely decorated rental like so many in the area, it has the charm of a true beach side cottage. The pictures represent it truthfully.

Perfect location for us

The view was beautiful. The host did a wonderful job on getting back to me with all questions. Was stocked with all kitchen items we may have needed and more. Enjoyed all the beach items in the garage.Did have a problem with a leak in kitchen not sure if it was sink, garbage disposable or dish washer. Left a note for cleaners had to place about six large towels to soak water up. This happened just the night before we left. Would book again enjoyed all you city had to offer.

We booked this place for the location and we loved watching the surfers each day. Like others have mentioned, the sofa is not great. There’s really nowhere comfortable to relax. The house could use a good scrubbing and clean out of random items. Location 5 stars.

Our stay was a nice time, furniture needs to be upgraded, not very comfortable.but otherwise we enjoyed the beautiful view.The area was very quite except for the homeless people who unfortunately live out of their vehicles along the parking area. Very clean beaches.

It was perfect! Somehow the location was even better than described and depicted! The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. I cannot wait to return to this property again.

My family of 4 stayed here while visiting family. We flew in from Va, and the house was so welcoming! Amazing views from the balcony. House was super clean and had everything we needed. I would recommend this house!

The property is absolutely incredible due to its location and view. We loved watching the sea and surfers from the balcony and living room. We enjoyed all traditional family activities around San Diego and finished every day at Windansea beach, just across the street. The March temps weren’t too cool for our kids to want to play in the waves. We enjoyed sunsets every evening. Additionally, the house is well appointed. We cooked every night and had all the kitchen and grill tools we needed. The beds were comfy and we slept great. We had extra towels and a washer/dryer which is shared with the lower unit and in the garage. We borrowed boogie boards from the garage. We are already talking about staying again. Perfect vacation!

Loved this property! The location cannot be beat. The property was clean and all the communication was excellent. The sectional in the living area is more like outdoor furniture and is not very comfortable. The stairwell also had an unpleasant smell.

We enjoyed our 4-night stay! It's all about the location and this is on the water with killer views of crashing waves, surfers, skies (be sure to catch the magnificent sunsets) and people watching. The unit has everything one need for a great stay--its clean, fully loaded kitchen, nice bathrooms, spacious bedrooms and living areas. I fully recommend this place, but I will give you my quibbles: While the unit is on the upper level, one can hear everything that happens in he unit below---it can get noisy depending on who is down there. The kitchen shows lots of wear and tear. The beds are old and springs are creaky (the bedding and pillows are nice), the water pressure in the back bedroom shower is very strong, aggressive and not pleasant. Also none of the furniture in the living area is comfortable. The 2 poang chairs that face the water are not comfortable, the sectional sofa is absolutely uncomfortable (they put plywood sheets under the thin cushions--ouch) and the outdoor furniture on the deck is not comfortable. Again I am quibbling as the location here is everything. Communication was great!!

It was such a treat to stay here. Any down time we had, we sat on the balcony and watched the surfers from dawn to dusk. It was such a great neighborhood be in because we could walk everywhere, down to Bird Rock or around La Jolla. The house was very comfortable with all the necessities. We would 100% come back and probably will because our daughter lives there.

If you’re looking for a place with a fantastic view, this is the property. We really enjoyed watching the surfers from the balcony and easy access to the water. Plus a farm fresh grocery store one block away (easily walkable). Plenty to do in the area with easy check in/out instructions.

This beach house is more cozy than it looks like in pictures. It is very clean. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. You can hear the ocean at all times with the windows open. Two minor items that I would improve. The couch is not that comfortable and the toilet paper is thin, one ply. Otherwise, it was perfect! I would recommend this beach house.

The location is fantastic, just steps from the sea, and having a parking spot was super convenient. The view was stunning, and the condo was spacious enough for our family of five. The beds were comfortable, and there were portable fans available in case it got warm. While we didn’t cook, the kitchen seemed well-equipped. My only feedback is that the floors could have been cleaner (vacuumed but not mopped), and unfortunately, the tenants below us partied all weekend, which made things a bit noisy. But our host reacted so quickly and could communicate with them.

It was a perfect place. Great location, safe, and had everything we needed. Would love to stay there again .

We couldn't have asked for a better location just across the street from the beach. We appreciated the beautiful views from the deck, the off street parking, beach chairs, umbrellas and cooler, comfy beds, generous size of the rental and proximity to everywhere we wanted to explore. I want to give a huge shoutout to Tammie with Windansea Vacation Rentals. I was having trouble with my VRBO account and she went out of her way to text me all the information I needed.
