The view was outstanding!

Our family of 12 had a fabulous trip. The location has a boardwalk for easy access to the beach. We saw numerous dolphins every day. The kitchen is well equipped and the beds were comfortable. Large fans are all throughout the home so everyone was comfortable! Only downside is the carpets were not very clean and the front bedroom on the first floor smelled very musty. I hope to plan a return trip to this home!

We really enjoyed ourselves. The place was adequate for our 10 adults - ages 19 - 83. We could have accommodated more, but it was nice to spread out. We could have used some more cookie sheets

We had a group of ladies reconnecting for the weekend at Dolphin Watch. All of us are originally from the Lowcountry and went to high school together and enjoyed our time together at Edisto. Very cold weekend, but the sun did come out to greet us before we left!

Our first time to Edisto and staying at Dolphin Watch as our original house got cancelled at the last minute. The Vacasa team was amazing to quickly get us a new place to stay when we were about an hour away from check-in. The house has mixed review. Pros Layout was amazing! Never could tell it was a duplex as it was so quiet & private. The kitchen was well stocked with all the appliances, tools & dishes needed. There was some beach toys, boogie boards and a beach chair at the house for use as well. Also loved having a house on the concrete covered parking area to spray the sand off. The house had numerous games, puzzles and numerous TV streaming options. Location was amazing with getting to see tons of Dolphins each day!! Cons Bugs, bugs, bugs. I am sure most were due to the marsh right off the backyard, but there were so many bugs it made being outside miserable. We also killed several bugs inside during our stay. The path with direct access to the beach is great, but it was overgrown in areas, so it felt like you were walking through a forest to get to the beach. The cleaning could have been a little better as I found a broken dirty razor in the master bathroom and lots of dead bugs behind the rocking chairs in the master bedroom.

The cleanliness of the house could have been better, but overall we had a great stay.

I love the location and the house structure was great

Dolphin watch was an amazing place for us to enjoy the wildlife at Edisto. Each day we saw 20 or more dolphins and we were also blessed to see several horseshoe crabs. The shells are plentiful and the waves are calm so all can enjoy the water without issue. We highly recommend Dolphin Watch!

Perfect for two families with children

Edisto nevers disappoints! We stayed in Dolphin Watch A this past week and had a wonderful time. Walking out the back door to the beach is great! The accommodations were very nice for our family group of 12.

Excellent location! It's on the bay side, so the ocean waves are nice and calm. BEAUTIFUL view! We saw dolphins each day we were there. The kitchen was fully stocked including lots of pots and pans and service for 14 or 15 people. There were several games available to play. A chest of beach toys were available outside for the children.

The house was in a wonderful spot on Edisto Island! Wonderful appliances! Great for a large group.

Declaimer: Our family wanted to give this property 3.8 stars but we can’t use decimals in our ratings, so please take note of that before reading the rest of the review. Our group of 13 had a wonderful beach vacation. This waterfront property is perfect for little kids who may have limited time on the beach before needing a nap or snack. We were able to spend a couple hours out in the waves before returning back for naps and home cooked meals. This house is wonderful for large parties of 10-12. There’s plenty of plates and utensils, kitchen items (a kitchen aid, in fact, and two coffee makers) and seating downstairs under the home for some simple, quiet outdoor time. The house could use a little work with fit and finish (and could have used a deeper clean before our visit), but it was still a great time regardless of the imperfections.
