Oceanfront home with incredible beach views, washer/dryer & pool

Run down and dirty

The house was exactly what we were looking for. However, be prepared, there is nothing in the way of food or condiments (not even salt or pepper). So it's like staying in a hotel - you get the shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There was only one beach chair, and no beach towels. Vacasa gives you one pod for the washer and 2 dishwasher pods; which you need to use one of them when you leave. So. With all that said, we LOVED the house, the location to the beach was amazing and the beds were so comfortable. To me, those were the most important aspects of our vacation.

We loved the location of this house ! We opened the sliding doors to the master bedroom every morning to the sound of waves and the view of the sunrise. The house has multiple levels so be ready to climb and find your perfect spot ! The walk to over the dunes is a quick one and there is a public access with stairs nearby. The house has multiple deck areas that face the ocean. Coffee up there in the morning is perfect ! The Pier is right down the beach and the bike trail/side walk easily accessible. There is a spacious dining area and living room for family games. We had a great time !

Loved our stay in Avon. This property was on the beach and steps to the water. Also close to several places to get coffee, food, or drinks.

Location is fabulous. The house is great. There were boogie boards there for us to use as well as lots of games. Tips for staying here:Bring cleaning supplies for the kitchen, dish towels, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, extra blankets for beds. There’s an awesome playground one block over in front of the Avon Pier. The pier costs 2 a person and it gives you access all day. We saw a black tip shark right off the pier!Food Lion is a mile away as well as various shops for beach gear and souvenirs. Surfs Up Seafood market had better prices than Food Lion for crabs and shrimp, and the seafood was delicious. In Buxton, 10 min away, there’s a used book store, an escape room, and go karts. Angelos pizza is also nice. The fishing was great. We did a charter out of Hatteras one day, and it was great and only 30 min away. We had a wonderful stay! We’d love to come back!

The upper and lower deck were amazing to sit on and enjoy the waves and the sunset and sunrise!

Location and views

Location to the beach and near essential stores was convenient.

The location feels quite private but is also a very short walk to the Avon Pier. Great ocean views from the decks. Furnishings were quite nice, including a foosball table. All beds were made except for top bunks; we didn't use those and they did leave a set of clean sheets if we had. Two sets of towels in each bedroom. I'm accustomed to renting beach houses that are not provided with linens so that was a nice service. My only complaints are that the kitchen was not well stocked with cooking pots and utensils, and the outdoor shower did not have adequate hot water supply (restriction in the line?).

The location was ideal and amenities were comfortable and useable.
