Oceanfront Home with Coastal Charm

The house is as advertised. It felt comfortable being there, like with an old friend. The beds were comfotable, the kitchen well stocked, and the views great. The beach was very quiet and private. Monica was a great hostess. We would gladly return.

We enjoyed our stay here so much. The beach is very private. The house is spacious and very well stocked. We were also able to get in touch with someone quickly if we had any questions.

We stayed at the property for a wedding. Monica was very friendly and even let us check in early. She answered all our questions and helped us find items. The location was great. Right near everything we needed. We didn’t find too many shells but that’s ok. We had a great time walking the beach and looking for some.

Wonderful accommodations and a short walk on a private access to the ocean. The ocean view was breathtaking. Being pet friendly was a bonus. Memories were made!

The location is great! The beach access is fantastic and there are plenty of items on hand to use. The second garage fridge was awesome to have! The owners are easily accessible, although we didn’t need to contact them. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time at Monica‘s home at Pine Knolls. The location is superb. very private beach Just a short walk from the house. The aquarium is worthy of a visit! The house fit the 13 of us very well. And I do recommend it.

Beautiful home with gorgeous views and great proximity to beachfront! Very private with lovely natural shrubbery surrounding home including a foliage covered boardwalk to the beach. Both a covered and sun deck complete with lounge and rocking chairs overlooking the beach. We were there over July 4 and could see fireworks in both directions from the beach. Lots of beach chairs and toys, even a serviceable bike. We're an extended family who likes to cook, and the kitchen could have used more storage space and room to maneuver. Needed more room to store games upstairs out of reach of little ones. Plenty of storage in bedrooms. Overall a wonderful trip! Homeowner, Monica and management crew were exceptionally responsive!

What else is there to say - great host and amenities - great ocean view - beach within 75 yards - nice choice of grills - close enough to amenities rest. Putt putt etc - quiet and dog friendly - what else is there to say ??!! Awesome - thx for sharing your property!

Gathered for four nights with adult children and grandkids to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Location! Location! Right on beautiful beach. Ocean lulls you to sleep at night. Watch dolphins swim by as you enjoy morning coffee on the deck. Great screened porch with large picnic table for meals or to play board games. Plenty of outdoor seating. Lots of beach toys and boogie boards and a great outdoor shower and hose to shower everyone and everything off. Fully stocked kitchen with large dining area and plenty of seating in living room. There were 10 of us. Comfy beds. We made ourselves at home, had everything we needed and got immediate response from owner/management if we didn’t. We went into Beaufort NC for lunch one day - 15 min. Drive - lovely little town but otherwise never left the house/beach. Kids in water all day long. The first weekend of May! Gorgeous weather. We couldn’t have asked for more! (Would suggest guests bring their own beach chairs although plenty for the young ones. Or you can carry a few light weight Adirondack chairs from the porch down to beach for the day) Would love to return when we can get the entire family together again!

Heckman House and in particular the owner were wonderful. The house was clean, with plenty of towels (for shower), beds made up with linens. Stayed in the master bedroom which had views of the ocean from the windows and picture window in the master bath. Bed was comfortable and it was soothing to hear the waves at night! Kitchen well stocked with plates, pots, pans, cutlery, etc. There are wine glasses, wine opener, a small shaker and blender. Great beach access—literally on the beach with a walkway from the lower level and steps from the upper deck. The flowering bushes had a lovely fragrance but do need to be trimmed as they were encroaching on the beach walkway but did not impede access (if tall you needed to duck a bit). The upper deck and screened porch were perfect! The deck is gated so we could let our dogs hang on the deck without worry! There is also a grassy area at the bottom of the driveway which works well for “potty-ing” the pups. Beautiful ocean view from the deck and living areas. Plenty of games, cards, beach chairs, etc. Monica, the owner was super responsive to emails via VRBO-as we had many questions during the process. Additionally, upon arrival we found that the grills weren’t in great shape and there was no propane for the gas grill. Emailed Monica the following morning; she answered within the hour and by early afternoon we had a new Weber charcoal grill!
