Oceanfront Home has Two King Suites, Private Beach Access, Hot Tub, Game Room

I'm going to be brutal in this review, so please read. When I set the reservation the reviews were ok and I didn't realized it wasn't a VRBO property. Its a Merideth property. I've been renting houses in Rockaway Beach for almost 10 years for vaca. There are always a few issues but nothing crazy, nothing to write a review over. Till this nightmare stay.Let me list the issues... 1. Wifi never stayed connected. Had to reset the router a few times a day. Never held a consistent signal.2. Furniture is in bad shape. Recliners are hard to close and 1 almost dumps you out backward everytime you sit in it. King bed is hard as a rock. Dining chairs are rickety and 1 has a broken back. No very safe.Dining table is rickety.Ping pong table is barely standing.3. Thermostat is junky and you can't change much. Created a medical issue for me when it got to 78 in the house and could NOT get the AC on. Doors open, no windows to open.4. Ceiling fan not working. Tried turn it on to cool the house. 5. Bathrooms. Tiny toilets, shower head so high you can't hardly reach them unless you are 6 ft. The tp holder is barely holding on to the wall. 6. Bbq outside is rusted through on the bottom and hanging. Someone is going to hurt themselves on it.7. Lack of privacy! Was excited to have a hot tub option for the rest of the family but didn't feel comfortable to use. No privacy fence or wall. People walking thru like its a piblic access point. Would not recommend!

Dear Lodging, Meredith,We enjoyed your rental property. It was well situated on the coast with stunning views. The house was clean. It lacked some basics like…salt and hand soap. My friends and I booked this house specifically because of the hot tub. It did not work and instructions were not provided to operate it. This was a major disappointment. The 50 refund was insulting. Many attempts to communicate were hampered by a third party app on your end and not addressed in a meaningful way. I had to take time to call customer support only to be rerouted to no help at all. You have many properties up and down the coast. I hope your other GUESTS will have better experiences.

Lighting in game room was out , hot tub very slow to heat up, mold in the washing machine. Beautiful views, quiet and very convenient to town. With proper upkeep would have been a 5

What a wonderful place to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with family. The kitchen was fantastically appointed and the location was perfect for watching the waves crash on the beach! The open concept for the kitchen and living room was perfect for family game nights.

We had a wonderful time at the beach. the check-in process was a little bumpy because there was an emergency and our vacation home wasn’t ready until 2 hrs after checkin. Cleanliness was a little bit lacking, but that was probably due to the emergency. The hot tub needs some attention. Overall, the home is a lovely place to get away at the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

The location on the beach is fantastic! The kids loved the hot tub. This is our third stay at this house and we will be back!

Very well stocked with everything needed. Location to town is great and the beach is unreal. Living room is much bigger than pics show. Highly recommend.

Terrible service - bad communication - unresponsive

Negatives: We could not get into the property; code did not work. Lock box would open. Hot tub step was rotted. Deck railing in disrepair. Very unsafe. Debris on sides of house. Lower Bedroom did not have a closet or a dresser to store clothing, no lamps on nightstands. No TVs worked. Garage had Ping Pong and air hockey table however only 2 of the 6 fluorescent tubes worked in the garage. A lot of sand was on the floor and rug in the living area. Positives: Victor the maintenance guy was excellent getting us in the property and fixing the broken back door. Meredith Service rep on the phone was also great. The view and the location were fantastic, we loved using the outdoor fire pit. Walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops were great. Abundance of utensils, plates and bowels. We liked having a grill, but it needs some maintenance has the heating was very uneven. Overall, the location is great, but the property is in dire need of TLC and maintenance.

Our stay was miserable. It started off with a late check in the cleaning person was still there upon arrival house was dirty beds undone then we got locked out of the house the next day. Codes for keyless door didnt work & maintence had to come help. No propane unable to use bbq after we started grilling, cable wouldnt connect in rooms. No help with jacuzzi no cleaning supplies unable to use it. Just a mess. The house & location were fine it was just the uneasy feeling of not knowing if the house was cleaned well or not felt gross then problem after problem. This company needs to get their business issues corrected for customers. Horrible experience for our family
