Scarborough, Maine
Picture yourself on our beautiful porches for the most relaxing moments of your day... the sun porch with a hot cup of coffee and a direct ocean view, the breezy open porch for cocktail hour and a cotton candy sky, or the screened porch at the huge hand-carved table with your family and friends for a fresh-caught lobster dinner.
With panoramic ocean views throughout most of the home, a large oceanside yard perfect for family play, a private path to the quietest section of Maine's longest sandy beach, and all the amenities you require... ours is the perfect home for your next vacation.
Our family home's location is perfect. We are around the corner from fresh lobster and local restaurants and just a couple of miles from Old Orchard Beach and multiple grocery stores including the gourmet "On the Vine" in Scarborough. We are a short drive to Portland, Kennebunkport, and other charming destinations. But even with every modern convenience nearby, you will feel like you arrived at a quiet retreat the minute you walk up the path and catch your first breath of ocean air.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pantry staples, plentiful glasses for your happy hours, a propane grill in the gazebo, and two indoor and two outdoor dining areas. Kids are welcome in our home and we provide a pack-n-play, high chair, children's books, and family games. You are also set for the beach with 10 beach chairs, a beach umbrella, boogie boards, and sand toys!
This home has been in our family since 1895 and is very special to us. My husband grew up spending many happy summers here and our children and grandchildren have made made countless special memories in this house as well. We hope you will enjoy it as we do and care for it like it is your own family's home.

Our daughter got married during our stay so it was a destination wedding for us. We had 7 adults plus a 2 yr old and the house served us very well! It was quaint with an old-time charm, but the kitchen had modern appliances. The large porch looking at the ocean was great for our morning coffee! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will always have great memories of our daughter's wedding thanks, in part, to the beautiful location.
Great place for family vacation. Good communication with manager.
Great location and wonderful house. Highly recommend staying here
Great house! Communication with property manager was amazing and very transparent. Gorgeous views from two of the three porches. Home has a lot of traditional character and is located on a great area of the beach between Pine Point jetty and OOB pier. Private beach path was fantastic! Our family included 8 adults,1 teenager, and 1 younger child. Enough room for quiet time but enough space for us all to be together!
We loved this house so much! THREE porches -- open, screened, glassed-in! Great kitchen. I wish it were air-conditioned (climate change has, alas, reached Maine), but there were fans in every room. We've already reserved a week for next year
We were three small families consisting of 2 spouses and one kid each. The house was a great size for a group like ours, and could have fit a few more kids or one more couple easily. The location was really nice, peaceful and quiet compared to Old Orchard Beach. We felt really private there, and there was plenty of room to spread out. It was well stocked with useful things like beach toys, kitchen stuff, etc.
The house was in a great location in Pine Point. It was nice to have a personal path to the beach through the dunes, but it was definitely longer than you think. It was so nice to have the beach away from the crowds at the Pine Point parking area. That area of beach can have a lot of seaweed, so you may have to walk a bit to get to a clear area. However, the beach is really open and there is plenty of space - even at high tide. The house itself is on the older side, but has plenty of spaces to spread out. The TV is on the smaller side. The one room on the first floor is extremely spacious and is the only one with air conditioning. The kids slept on the floor during the 90+ degree days. There are lots of fans, but it could use some window units on the really hot days. There is one cold box that you can maybe plug in, but we didn't find that until the last day in one of the upstairs closets. The water pressure was amazing and plenty of bathrooms and showers. It was nice to have a hose right out front to wash the sand off (careful though, the water is very hot). There were lots of beach chairs there, even though it said there wouldn't be. There are two slow cookers and plenty of kitchen items. They can use more bowls (only 4) and some stirring spoons and spatulas. However, they had great foil, plastic, and tupperware that most places do not have. The Garage (bar-b-que) is just a minute walk and is great!! There is also a little market with drinks and sandwiches across the street for last minute items. We had a great stay with the location - you need to know that it is an older house, but you can't beat the location.
