Oceanfront Getaway in Heart of Downeast Maine

The property was amazing! A cute, clean house with an amazing view of the ocean! There were lots of hiking trails close by with beautiful views as well!

The house is situated right on the coast line, with amazing views. It has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay and the property manager was very nice. The house itself is comfortable and cozy. I found the beds to be comfortable. The kitchen is updated and has everything you would need to prepare meals. Outside there is a grill and a fire pit. The fire pit provided a great view of the water. The only suggestion I would have is that the bunk house could use some proper ventilation. All in all we had a great experience and would recommend this location for others.

The house and surrounding area are beautiful! It was very comfortable and filled with everything we needed. This is a great base from which to explore the nature preserve, hiking trails and Acadia National Park. The host was friendly and provided some great tips for enjoying the property as well as local highlights to check out.

We loved our vacation on the coast . The home was perfect and extremely well stocked with all you could possibly need . Quiet , remote but just a short drive to whatever you might need .

This property exceeded our expectations. Communication with the owner and property manager was easy and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It was extremely clean and well appointed. Linens, towels and beds were very comfortable. The view from the front porch was spectacular. The decor was very well done-uncluttered and comfortable. It is very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. We were a family traveling with three young adults and there was plenty of space for all of us. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet of the separate bunk house. We used the kitchen for many meals and had everything we needed. There are several great hikes within minutes. We were half hour to an hour of Acadia, ice cream, restaurants, golf and a fresh seafood store ( we bought lobster less than a half mile down the road and it was amazing). This property definitely made our Maine vacation memorable and we would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Scott for sharing your beautiful property. Ray-you were the perfect host!

Everything was fantastic from start to finish. Ray was very helpful and gave us recommendations of places to go in the area, and some of those became highlights of our trip. The house was comfortable, and I lost track of how many hours I spent on the deck watching the tides or the hunting seals and bald eagles. We will be booking here again.

There are so many great things to share about this property. The house itself is fantastic - super clean, nice decor, well stocked with everything you need in terms of kitchen, washer/dryer, plenty of linens, games, binoculars, telescope, record player with a great selection, etc. The back porch is a perfect place for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. We spent lots of nights at dining room table playing board games with the windows open and feeling the ocean breeze. My teenager stayed in the boathouse and enjoyed having their own space. We saw bald eagles and got to watch some seals for a couple of hours chasing after their dinner.The check in process was very smooth - we had all the info we needed and great directions and got a text that day to make sure we were all set. Ray so graciously offered to stop by to give us some insider tips on things to do and we were so happy we took him up on that offer! He suggested some great restaurants, ways to see Acadia while avoiding the crowds, and a few lovely hiking spots (a couple of great trails right down the road!)I've stayed at a lot of places, but i think this one might be my favorite! Would love to come back!

We loved the house. The view was amazing every morning from front porch. The little bunk house was so nice too. I know that air conditioning is hardly ever needed but i would recommend some window units. We had 2 days near 90 and it got very warm in house. Other than that we jad a great time and definitely would rent house again.

The property was exactly as listed. The views from the back porch cant be beat. Amazing sunrises and calm water help to create a peaceful stay. Ray the property manager was very helpful.

Great views

this is a special property with a million dollar view. Sitting on the expansive deck. watching the tidal changes was very relaxing. the house is stylish and homey and we cooked many delicious meals in the well equipped kitchen. The management was very attentive to all questions. We would definitely come back.

Ray the property manager was wonderful (he even stopped by to say hello) and provided many great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. It was a perfect home base for a relaxing, fun family vacation. We’ll be back!

Everything was wonderful. It was peace and quite. Ray was amazing from the referrals for restaurants to making sure everything was good with the cabin. We will be sure to rent this cabin afain in the future. If you are looking for a place to relax and breathe this is the place.

Perfect for a relaxing, peaceful, soothing getaway. Activity in the area are the lobster boats going in and out of the peninsula each day. Even cloudy, rainy days were gorgeous. Perfect for those who like to be left alone and enjoy quiet, off the beaten path. Anywhere you need or want to go is close enough to drive without a hassle. All of the food was delicious and fresh wherever we ate in the region. The house itself was wonderful and so comfortable, felt like home. Beautifully decorated and simple, everything was cozy, comfortable and extremely clean. The only thing I would have liked abour it more would have been a working fireplace for the couple of cold nights we had. The propane heater in the living room was enough to heat the whole house to a comfortable level. Ray, the property manager was absolutely wonderful. Very helpful when asked any questions, friendly and knowledgeable if you want to know anything about the area, the house, where to eat and more. I took many photos of the house and surrounding area including the readily available hiking trails down to the shoreline for beautiful views as well as natural beauty along the paths. One of the best vacations I've ever had as I prefer not to be in a touristy area. Despite some of the more dreary days, I was out on the porch just soaking it all in.
