The Space:

Small families, couples, and weekend adventurers will find the perfect place for a relaxing coastal escape in Sea Spray, an oceanfront condo in Depoe Bay. Enjoy an inviting interior filled with modern comforts, sweeping views of the Central Oregon Coast, and a great location near several restaurants, varied souvenir shops, and amazing views from the rocky seawall. (The easiest sandy beach access is about two miles north atFogarty Creek.)

Spend a quiet weekend indoors or rest between your adventures in this condo's comfortable confines. Wake with a fresh cup of joe from the Keurig coffeemaker, then review your day's plans. Catch a refreshing nap on leather sofas in the living area, or watch cable TV for entertainment. You could also pour some Oregon pinot, head out the deck, and settle into Adirondack chairs to take in the dramatic views of the rugged coastline.

The open-concept kitchen has everything you'll need to cook fresh-caught Dungeness crab and other local specialties, including stainless steel appliances and varied cookware. Enjoy group meals at the four-seat table, or take your meal onto the deck for an alfresco experience.

Time to call it a day Retire home for restful slumber in either of two sleeping areas. A telescope in one bedroom is perfect for glimpsing twinkling nighttime stars, whales and ships, or a sunset on the horizon.

Depoe Bay is a quaint community featuring the world's smallest navigable harbor. You'll be less than a half-mile from the OPRD Whale Watching Center for great views of the seasonal gray whale migration, a half-mile from Dockside Charters for crabbing and fishing excursions, and about 12 miles from both Lincoln City to the north and Newport to the south.

Ready for some day trips Head 14 miles north for stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and boating in Devils Lake, or go slightly farther north for gambling at Chinook Winds Casino. If you've brought kids, they'll love the educational exhibits and playful sea life at the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, while those 21 and older will appreciate a brewery tour at Rogue Brewers on the Bay.

Please note: This unit is located against HWY 101, the harbor, and it is the lower unit to a 2 story building. There may be some ocean, traffic, and foot noise at times. Guests will need to use a staircase to access the bottom unit.

Awesome view from the property. I can't say enough about the view. Clean and comfortable. It has a private deck, and did I say, an awesome view of the ocean and cliffs. There were a couple of downsides. First, there are fairly steep and a little bit slippery stairs to get into the unit. Those were a little difficult for my wifes knee replacement and our small dog struggled getting up the stairs. The other issue was the noise from the upstairs unit. You could even hear the dog upstairs walking across the floor, in the downstairs unit. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, if we could stay in the upper unit. That would eliminate the two issues we had. Loved the view!

We stay 4 nights 6/9-6/12/22. All beds had hairs and cat hairs, dog hairs. All floors were wet and it was hard to breathe. We had 2 small kids and it was a problem for us. Because of rainy weather we were not able to go outside to the deck. But as we know that ocean has rain many days in a year it would be great to cover it. Thank you.

The view is gorgeous. The location is very convenient. The house took several hours to warm up. It seemed all the heat rose to the top of the entry stair. It would be good to put a ceiling fan there to push the air back into the living space. The bathroom was very cold the whole time. The shower did not get very hot despite the water being hot in all of the faucets. It was a stormy and cold weekend but the blankets were nice and warm. A lovely rental.

The views from this unit were great! It was very spacious and recently updated with new floors and remodeled bath which we appreciated. When we arrived, the unit has an abundance of flies (like 40-50). We successfully killed most of them, but the next day, the room was full again. I don't know where they are coming from as we didn't have the door open. A fly swatter would be a helpful addition. Also, the back deck was very slick with a build up of moss. I'm sure a beach front place is tough to keep up with, but I would highly recommend getting that pressure washed and putting indoor rugs next to the glass slider as well as the upstairs front door. We had nothing to wipe our feet on to keep from tracking the moss into the house after enjoying the deck, so we ended up using a towel. We enjoyed our stay, though. As noted in other reviews, a new mattress and curtains would really improve the experience as well as some hangers for the free standing closet space. We also noted the sewer smell that others had mentioned on our last day.Parking right outside the unit was no problem. :)

The property was as described, but it was in a pretty busy area with significant street noise/traffic. However, once we were inside and down the stairs, all the street noise vanished. We did hear the upstairs neighbors, which sounded like someone walking around, and also when the cleaning crew came through up there. Although there was street parking only, with no designated spot, we did not have any trouble parking directly in front of the property during our Sunday-Tuesday stay. The view of the ocean from the back deck was amazing. We were able to do some whale watching from there. And from the telescope in the room, we could see a group of seals resting on a rock each morning. The room was not locked when we first arrived, and it took us a minute to figure out how to lock the door from the outside when leaving the room (enter the code, lock the door, then wait for the beeps).Overall, we were satisfied with this property and would stay again.

This little place was cute and very clean with an amazing view right out of our back door! It was awesome watching the sun go down over the ocean. You can see whales from the deck, which seemed more active in the morning. The fence to the left of the deck had some resident racoons that were super cute fron a distance. So many shops and restaurants within walking distance. We had a great time, and will stay here again!

Pros: Location, view is breathtaking, clean, comfy couches, the deck is perfect and chairs out there comfy. Bathroom is large and very clean. Kitchen had some spices in it and most things we needed to make meals with. Dishwasher is super quiet.Cons: No curtains? (there is a public access park on the same level and folks could see into the unit and even hop the deck railing if they wanted to. Definitely need curtains and possibly more secure deck area? A lot of people used the park the week we were there. No door on the main bedroom. Mattress in that same room is really old (inner springs that squeak) super uncomfortable. Mattress in other bedroom isn't much better, we ended up sleeping on the day bed and mattress under it. No dresser in main room. No hangers to hang clothes on rack in living room. Can't open any windows so *if you want to sleep listening to the ocean you will have to leave the door open to the public access park folks* (this was huge and annoying to us because it's just not safe to do it). Cannot read the markings on the stove because they're almost completely worn off. Second bedroom is stuffy with no airflow to it. Chairs in the kitchen are rickety and flimsy. *There is no Keurig machine* as is stated in the description of the listing. The person I texted with told me that I had to deal with VRBO about it. When I asked them to please deal with it, they said that wasn't an amenity they provide. Overall it's a great place, just needs some things.

It was not in the listing that the condo was down the stairs. If we had known, we wouldnot have rented it. Maybe you should state that much more clearly in your listing as this is not a place for people that have mobility issues. Also, the dining chairs are so cheap and flimsy and uncomfortable! We could not sit at the table to play our board games for more than about 30 minutes. Also the deck chairs were very low and difficult to get in and out of.Apart from that, it was amazing. The view was wonderful and the bed was comfortable and it was clean and easy to find things.

The location is awesome. But the cleanliness was a joke. There was someone else’s hair EVERYWHERE! The bathroom floor, inside the bathroom drawers. There were dirty dishes in the cabinets. The beds were also awful. So hard and bouncy. I felt like I was going to bounce right off the bed. Also tried to contact management about cleanliness, but no response ever.

This property is great in terms of location and accommodations. I felt like I was right on top of the ocean! Just stunning views and so close to town. I did have a little trouble when I arrived because I couldn't get the lock to work. Ended up calling and someone came to help right away. The only other negative is that I think the checkout time is too early.

Came to this little slice of heaven for our Anniversary and it did not disappoint. Beautiful views clean and tidy little place . We enjoyed our stay . It does sit below the apartment upstairs so a little noise from upstairs as to be expected. Overall one of the best places ive stayed at on the coast.

Great location right in Depoe Bay. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Rental is a downstairs apartment with deck overlooking the ocean; no beach access. Nicer than expected; need to update pictures on website. Rental has been updated quite a bit, new flooring, kitchen, bathroom. Plenty of dishes, cookware. No spices/food storage containers (Just a heads up!) Two bedrooms both with queen beds, all doors are sliding barn doors for one bedroom and bathroom. It looks like they are in the process of adding another barn door to the second bedroom so be aware that it is wide open to the living area at this time. Only recommendation would be to add some curtains to the sliding glass door out to the deck to block light and add privacy.
